Location

Located in the heart of Plakias, a beautiful, picturesque village in the south of Rethymno, with a wonderful sandy beach reachable in just 100 m, the hotel's location offers the ideal starting point to explore the enchanting Cretan landscapes and the blue waters of the Libyan Sea.

The small, family-run 3-star Hotel Sofia has 25 comfortably designed and recently renovated rooms spread over 2 floors. It features a small lobby with a 17-hour reception (7 a.m. – midnight), an internet and TV corner, a library, and a breakfast area, where a rich, homemade breakfast with fresh fruit, omelets, croissants, and other delicacies is served daily.
At the sister hotel Costas & Chrysoula, located approx. 100 m away, a swimming pool with sun loungers and parasols as well as a bar are available for shared use. Sun loungers and parasols are available at the beach for a fee. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the hotel.

Note on climate resilience levy

For stays from 01/01/2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on-site, comparable to a tourist tax.
