Location

This small, cozy, family-run hotel is situated in a slightly elevated position, approximately 300 m from the center of Matala and about 400 m from the beach. Matala is an ideal starting point for exploring the south of Crete with its sights and archaeological sites.

The property was renovated in summer 2025 and features 42 double rooms and 8 family rooms, spread across three buildings. The hotel offers a modern reception area with a 24-hour front desk, a lounge, a restaurant, a common area, a bar, and a TV corner. In the beautiful outdoor area, a swimming pool with a sun terrace and a pool bar invite you to relax. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included at the pool and available for a fee at the beach. Bath towels are available for a fee.
Wi-Fi is included throughout the property.

Superior Double Room

The rooms, decorated in a Cretan style, feature a bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, individually adjustable air conditioning, satellite TV, refrigerator, as well as a balcony or terrace (DSU/DSI).
Also available for single occupancy (DSE).

These feature the same amenities as the double rooms, but with bunk beds for the third and fourth person (DF2).

Continental breakfast buffet from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM and dinner buffet (Greek and international cuisine) from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Destination information: Climate Resilience Tax

For stays starting January 1, 2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience tax, which is to be paid by the guest locally, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and has been tiered from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euro per day and room starting January 1, 2025.
For stays in high season April 1–October 31:
Land category 1–2 stars: 2 Euro
Land category 3 stars: 5 Euro
Land category 4 stars: 10 Euro
Land category 5 stars: 15 Euro
For stays in low season November 1–March 31:
Land category 1–2 stars: 0.50 Euro
Land category 3 stars: 1.50 Euro
