The quietly located hotel Phaea Cretan Malia, member of Design Hotels, is the ideal starting point for guests wishing to combine a relaxing beach holiday with the rich culture of the island of Crete. The focus here is on peace and relaxation in harmony with nature. The hotel offers 204 rooms spread across the main building and bungalows, an inviting lobby with 24-hour reception, Wi-Fi (included throughout the resort), souvenir shop, mini-market, the main restaurant with an outdoor terrace "Mediterraneo," as well as the Italian à-la-carte restaurant "Almyra," the traditional Cretan à-la-carte restaurant "Mouries" serving regional dishes, the à-la-carte restaurant "Mezze" featuring Levantine cuisine, and the main bar "Melissi." Bungalow Pool Front

With the same amenities as the Bungalow Type A, these are located on the ground floor with direct access to the pool, featuring reserved sun loungers in front of the veranda or at the River Pool (GF2).

Bungalow Beachfront

Located in the first row to the beach, these offer the same amenities as the bungalows, with the addition of a Nespresso machine and a seating area with a sofa bed, as well as a balcony or terrace with reserved sun loungers (2BB).
Includes Cretan breakfast at the "Mouries" restaurant.

Bungalow Swim Up

With the same amenities as the Bungalow Pool View, these additionaly feature sun loungers on the private terrace and direct access to a shared pool (BSW).
The swim-up pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We ask for cautious behavior and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present a higher potential risk for small children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen applies a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

These luxuriously appointed Junior Suites feature an open-plan living area with an optical separation from the sleeping area. The main restaurant "Mediterraneo," with both indoor and outdoor seating, offers Mediterranean buffets for breakfast and dinner. Using ingredients sourced from the hotel's surroundings and focusing on Greek recipes, every dish reflects regional diversity.
Breakfast from 7:30-10:00. Late-riser breakfast from 10:00-11:00 with selected dishes.
Half board also includes dinner from 18:30-21:30 (drinks for an extra charge).

In addition, for certain room types, a Cretan breakfast is available at the "Mouries" restaurant from 8:00-11:00. Furthermore, lunch is possible in the à-la-carte restaurants (for an extra charge).
Vegetarian dishes and menus for special dietary needs are available on request.
Appropriate attire is requested (no swimwear).

All Inclusive

Effortless All Inclusive

Breakfast (7:30-11:00) and dinner (18:30-21:30) are offered in buffet style in the main restaurant "Mediterraneo."
Alternatively, guests can have breakfast at the Cretan à-la-carte restaurant "Mouries" (8:00-11:00).
For lunch, light snacks are available from 12:00-17:00 at "The Beach Shack," along with a selection of à-la-carte dishes at "Almyra" from 12:30-16:00 and at the "Mezze" restaurant from 12:30-17:00.
During meals, drinks such as water, soft drinks, juices, Greek beer, and a selection of wines are served.
Dinner is also possible in the à-la-carte restaurants "Mezze" (adults-only, 19:00-22:30, June-September), "Almyra" (18:30-22:30), and "Mouries" (18:30-22:00) with a reservation (selected drinks and dishes are available only at an extra charge), as well as at "The Beach Shack" (18:30-22:30).
"Kafenio" offers various coffee specialties and local spirits from 16:00-23:00, and "The Crush" offers sweets such as ice cream and waffles, as well as coffee, from 11:30-18:00.
A wide selection of local and international alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, such as water, soft drinks, beer, wine, coffee, aperitifs, rum, vodka, gin, tequila, whiskey, digestifs, liqueurs, and cocktails, is included from 10:15-01:00 at the bars currently in operation.
Lunch baskets are available on request for excursions (orders should be placed one day in advance before 20:00).
Appropriate attire is requested for dinner (casual chic).

Not included in All Inclusive

Wine tasting and theme evenings such as the Cretan Soul program and the Bostani event.
Selected premium drinks and some à-la-carte dishes in the restaurants are offered for an extra charge.
"Premium" minibar replenishment with local, healthy snacks.

Destination information Climate Resilience Fee

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government has introduced a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest locally, comparable to a tourist tax.
