Location

The 4-star Pyria Hotel, brand new as of 2024, is located on a quiet hillside in the picturesque village of Piskopiano, which is part of the Koutouloufari area. The small complex is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet and is located approximately 1.9 km from the nearest sand/pebble beach. The city center of Heraklion is approximately 25 km away, and Heraklion International Airport is located approximately 23 km from the hotel.

The partially newly built and partially completely renovated adults-friendly hotel (bookable from 14 years of age) features a total of 56 contemporary-style rooms, a lobby with a 24-hour reception, and a first-class main restaurant (Mediterranean cuisine) with a terrace. The restaurant places the highest priority on the use of fresh, local products from Crete. Furthermore, a lobby bar and a pool/snack bar are available. In the outdoor area, the complex offers guests a large, comfortable, and relaxing sun terrace as well as well-kept gardens. The outdoor area provides two large freshwater swimming pools, a heated hot tub, as well as a sharing pool that belongs exclusively to the Comfort double rooms and can also be heated. The total water surface area of all pools covers 600 m². The pools and the hot tub are available from 9 am to 6 pm. Sun loungers and parasols are available to guests at the pool free of charge. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the entire hotel complex.

The modern rooms feature a shower/WC, toiletries, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, Smart TV, individually adjustable air conditioning (included), rental safe, mini-fridge, kettle, coffee/tea (included), iron, ironing board, and a balcony or terrace with a pool or garden view (D).
Also optionally bookable as a super saver room (without balcony/terrace, SSZ) and for single use (DE) with the same facilities.

These slightly more spacious and beautifully furnished rooms feature a direct sea view (DM/DMI) with the same facilities as the double rooms.

Suite Open Plan

These high-quality suites are designed as open-plan combined living/sleeping areas with a seating area and bedroom, and feature a sea view (S2M) with the same facilities as the double rooms.
Optionally bookable with inland view (SA).
Optionally bookable with a separate bedroom for an additional charge, but without sea view (S2).

Meals

Breakfast/Half Board

Continental early-bird breakfast (5 am – 7 am) as well as a late breakfast (10 am – 10:45 am; until 2027) are available on request on site.
American breakfast buffet (7:30 am – 10 am).
When booking half board, dinner (7 pm – 9:30 pm) is served with a salad and dessert buffet as well as an à la carte main course. Drinks are not included.
From 2027 onwards, lunch or dinner can be enjoyed à la carte (12 pm – 10 pm).
Vegetarian dishes and special dietary requirements are available on site (registration via reception).
Appropriate attire (smart casual) is requested.

Climate Resilience Tax Note

For stays from 01.01.2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience tax, which must be paid by the guest on site, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and is staggered from 01.01.2025 between 0.50 Euro - 15 Euros per day and room.
