Location

The Selini Suites & Waterpark is a modern hotel complex in the traditional coastal village of Rapaniana, in the west of the island.
Only approx. 300 m from the sand/shingle beach and with a variety of shopping and entertainment options in the immediate vicinity, it is ideal for those who want to spend a special holiday in a friendly and luxurious environment. Chania airport is approx. 35 km away.

Facilities

The family-friendly 4-star hotel complex is a modern property with 168 rooms, spread across several buildings, featuring elegant Cretan architecture with views of the turquoise waters of the Aegean and the coastal village of Rapaniana in Chania. The resort is one of the best family hotels in the area and offers a variety of different accommodation options.
In the main building, you will find a spacious lobby area with a 24-hour reception, lift, satellite TV corner, the main bar, and a buffet restaurant with an outdoor area serving a variety of traditional delicacies. In the well-maintained outdoor area, there are three swimming pools, a pool bar, and a water park with various slides (open six days a week, 150 m from the hotel). Sun loungers and parasols are included at the pool and available for a fee at the beach. Pool towels are available for a deposit.
Wi-Fi is included in public areas and in the rooms.

Double room garden or pool view

The double rooms with garden or pool view feature a double bed or two single beds and a bathroom with shower/WC and hairdryer. They are also equipped with a flatscreen satellite TV, safe, individually adjustable air conditioning, mini-fridge, and a furnished balcony or terrace with garden or pool view (D).
Optionally bookable with sea view (DM/DMI), for single use (DE), or as a super saver room (SSZ).

Double room Superior pool view

The double rooms Superior with pool view offer the same facilities as the double rooms with garden or pool view but include two additional sofa beds as sleeping space for up to two children (DSP/2DI).
Optionally bookable with sea view (DMU).

Family room sea or pool view

The family rooms with sea or pool view offer the same facilities as the double rooms and consist of a combined living room/bedroom with two sofa beds as sleeping space for up to two children, a separate bedroom with a double bed or two single beds, and a bathroom with shower/WC. They also feature a furnished balcony or terrace with sea or pool view (2RF).

Luxury Junior suite pool view

The Luxury Junior suites with pool view offer the same facilities as the double rooms Superior with pool view, feature a walk-in shower, and also have pool view (J2P).

Luxury Maisonette side sea view

The Luxury Maisonette rooms with side sea view, located in the three-storey annex building, are set on two levels on the 2nd and 3rd floor, connected by an internal staircase. The lower floor features a combined living room/bedroom with one or two sofa beds as sleeping space for up to two children, a bathroom with shower/WC, and a small balcony. The upper floor features a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom with walk-in shower/WC, and a large balcony with side sea view and pool view. The remaining facilities are similar to the double rooms (2SM).

Junior suite private pool

The Junior suites with private pool offer the same facilities as the Luxury Junior suites with pool view and include a private pool (ZJP).
The pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We ask for careful behavior and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased potential danger for children.
For safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen therefore requires a minimum age of 6 years for children booking these room types.

American breakfast buffet from 7:30 am - 10:30 am, lunch buffet from 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm, and dinner buffet from 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm in the main restaurant.
Additionally, light snacks such as sandwiches, a salad bar, and pizza from 11 am - 12 pm and 3 pm - 5 pm. Furthermore, ice cream is available from 10:30 am - 9:30 pm at the pool bar.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks such as soft drinks, fruit juices, draught beer, house wine, ouzo, raki, rum, vodka, whiskey, tequila, brandy, liqueur, and selected cocktails are included from 10:30 am - 12 am at the currently open bar.

Note regarding climate resilience levy

For stays from 1 January 2018, the Greek government imposes a climate resilience levy, which must be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a local tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and has been tiered from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euro per day and room as of 1 January 2025.
