Location

Nestled at the foot of the White Mountains, the Orpheas Resort is very popular with German regular guests, characterized by individuality, lovely design and is located 4 km from Georgioupolis, one of the most beautiful places in Crete. The hotel is located directly on the 16 km long beach in Kavros and near the idyllic freshwater lake Kournas. The beautiful city of Chania is approx. 38 km and its airport 48 km away. The distance to Heraklion Airport is approx. 100 km.

The adults-only complex, built in Venetian style (bookable from 16 years), has a total of 86 rooms spread across the main and bungalow buildings. In the main building, there is the artistically designed entrance area with a 24-hour reception, lounge, TV corner, library, Wi-Fi in the lobby area (included), the restaurant and the terrace overlooking the freshwater pool, as well as a small holiday library. In the extensive garden, there are the bungalow buildings, a freshwater pool with a sun terrace, and another freshwater pool with a beach bar and whirlpool near the beach. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pool and at a charge on the beach. Pool/beach towels are available free of charge.

Double room

The double rooms have a bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, air conditioning, safe (rental), satellite TV, telephone, Wi-Fi (included), minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea station and a balcony or terrace facing the street (D).
Alternatively, they are also available for single occupancy (DE, also facing the street) or for an extra charge with a garden view (2GD), with an outdoor whirlpool including slippers (G2J/2GI) or bookable as more spacious and facing the sea (DY2).

Note on Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from 01.01.2018 onwards, the Greek government levies a climate resilience tax, which is to be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and is staggered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room from 1.1.2025.
