Location

Nestled at the foot of the White Mountains, the Orpheas Resort is a favorite among returning German guests, distinguished by its individuality, charming design, and its location 4 km from Georgioupolis, one of Crete's most beautiful towns. The hotel is situated directly on the 16 km long beach in Kavros and near the idyllic freshwater Lake Kournas. The picturesque city of Chania is approximately 38 km away, and its airport is 48 km distant. The distance to Heraklion Airport is about 100 km.

The adults-only complex, built in Venetian style and bookable for guests aged 16 and over, features a total of 86 rooms distributed across the main building and bungalow buildings. The main building houses the artistically designed entrance area with a 24-hour reception, lounge, TV corner, library, Wi-Fi in the lobby area (included), the restaurant, and the terrace overlooking the freshwater pool, as well as a small holiday library. The extensive gardens contain the bungalow buildings, a freshwater pool with a sun terrace, and another freshwater pool near the beach with a beach bar and whirlpool. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pool and available for a fee on the beach. Pool/beach towels are provided free of charge.

The double rooms feature a bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, air conditioning, safety deposit box (rental fee), satellite TV, telephone, Wi-Fi (included), minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea station, and a balcony or terrace facing the street (D).
Available also for single use (DE, also facing the street) or at an additional charge with garden view (2GD), with outdoor whirlpool including slippers (G2J/2GI), or more spacious and located sea-facing (DY2).

Suite Sea Facing

In addition to the same amenities as the double rooms, these suites feature a combined living and sleeping area with a visually separated sleeping space and are sea-facing (2MZ).

Suite Sea Facing Private Pool

In addition to the same amenities as the sea-facing suites, these suites include bathrobes, slippers, and a small private pool (YSP).
The private pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. Caution and particular attention are requested when using this area.

A generous breakfast buffet (7:30 AM - 10 AM) and dinner (6:30 PM - 9 PM) served buffet-style with a cooking station invite you to indulge.
In between, drinks, light snacks, and Cretan dishes are served at the beach bar (for a fee).

Notice for climate resilience contribution
