Location

Nestled at the foot of the White Mountains, the Orpheas Resort is very popular with German regular guests, characterized by individuality, lovely design, and is located 4 km from Georgioupolis, one of the most beautiful towns in Crete. The hotel is situated directly on the 16 km long beach in Kavros and near the idyllic freshwater lake Kournas. The beautiful city of Chania is approx. 38 km away, and its airport is 48 km away. The distance to Heraklion Airport is approx. 100 km.

The adults-only complex, built in Venetian style (bookable for ages 16 and up), has a total of 86 rooms spread across the main building and bungalow buildings. The main building houses the artistically appealing entrance area with a 24-hour reception, lounge, TV corner, library, Wi-Fi in the lobby area (included), the restaurant and the terrace overlooking the freshwater pool, as well as a small holiday library. In the spacious garden are the bungalow buildings, a freshwater pool with sun terrace, and near the beach, another freshwater pool with the beach bar and whirlpool. Sunbeds and umbrellas are included by the pool and available for a fee on the beach. Pool/beach towels are available free of charge.

The double rooms have a bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, air conditioning, safe (for a fee), satellite TV, telephone, Wi-Fi (included), minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea station, and a balcony or terrace facing the street (D).
Also available for single use (DE, also facing the street) or at an additional charge with garden view (2GD), with outdoor whirlpool including slippers (G2J/2GI) or more spacious and facing the sea (DY2).

With the same amenities as the double rooms, these suites have a combined living and sleeping area with a visually separated sleeping section and are located facing the sea (2MZ).

A rich breakfast buffet (7:30 AM - 10 AM) and dinner (6:30 PM - 9 PM) served buffet-style with a cooking station invite you to enjoy.
In between, drinks, light snacks, and Cretan dishes are served at the beach bar (for a fee).

Note on Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from 01.01.2018, the Greek government is levying a climate resilience tax, which is to be paid by the guest locally, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and will be tiered from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euro per day and room from 1.1.2025.
