Location

The small, very modern Sofia Resort hotel is quietly located about 900 m from the sandy beach of Kavros. Shops and entertainment facilities are available in the village. Chania Airport is about 50 km away.

Facilities

The property, completely renovated in recent years (2019-2024), is a Schauinsland-Reisen original with 42 rooms. Further amenities include a reception (open 16 hours a day), a buffet restaurant with terrace and sea view, a lounge bar, and a pool snack bar. Wi-Fi is included throughout the property. The highlight and centerpiece of the hotel is the rooftop bar with a magnificent panoramic view of the mountains and the sea, and a whirlpool, inviting you to relax. The well-kept outdoor area features a swimming pool with a separate children's pool and sun terrace. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge by the pool and for a fee on the beach. Pool towels are available for a deposit, and a fee applies for changes.

Junior Suite Superior

The junior suites, freshly renovated in 2024, feature a shower/WC, toiletries, bathrobes and slippers, hairdryer, individually adjustable air conditioning (included), ceiling fan, rental safe, satellite TV, Wi-Fi (included), kettle with tea/coffee, espresso machine (daily capsule refill), a large mirror, mini-fridge, and a balcony or terrace (JU2).

Junior Suite Private Pool

The junior suites, renovated in 2024, are located on the first floor and, with the same amenities as the junior suites, feature a balcony and a private pool (ZJP/ZIP/2ZJ). This category is bookable for guests aged 13 and over.
The private pool is not supervised. We ask for careful behavior and special attention when using this area.

Superior Suite

The suites, also renovated in 2024, are furnished in a modern design and feature a bedroom, a separate living room with a sofa bed, shower/WC, toiletries, bathrobes and slippers, hairdryer, individually adjustable air conditioning (included), ceiling fan, safe, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, kettle with tea/coffee, espresso machine (daily capsule refill), a large mirror, mini-fridge, and a balcony or terrace (SU2/TUB). Also bookable for single occupancy (SU1/T1B).

Superior Suite Whirlpool

With the same amenities as the Superior Suites, these feature an outdoor whirlpool (PJ2).
The whirlpool is not supervised. We ask for careful behavior and special attention when using this area.

Maisonette 2 Bedrooms

The very spacious maisonettes, ideal for families, are spread over two floors and, with the same amenities as the Superior Suite, feature two separate bedrooms and a living/sleeping area with a sofa bed (MN2).
