Location

This cozy resort, consisting of a main building and several two-story bungalow buildings, is located directly on a long sandy/pebble beach and about 3.5 km from the village of Georgioupolis. Restaurants and bars are within walking distance. Heraklion Airport is approx. 100 km away, and Chania Airport is about 50 km away. The nearest bus stop is approximately 200 meters away.

The Vantaris Luxury Beach Resort hotel complex features 168 rooms as well as a lobby with a 24-hour reception and a lounge. Facilities also include the "Festos" Lobby Bar, the "Aptera" Beach Bar, an à la carte tavern (for a fee, also for All Inclusive guests), and a mini-market.
In the outdoor area, a freshwater swimming pool with a separate children's pool, as well as a sun terrace with sun loungers, parasols, and pool towels, are available free of charge. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the beach for a fee. There is also a small playground for children. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel complex free of charge.

The Premium Double Rooms feature a bathroom with walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, slippers, telephone, rental safe, satellite TV, refrigerator, air conditioning (individually adjustable), heating, tea/coffee maker, and a terrace with a mosquito net on the land side (PDZ).
Optionally bookable as a Super-Saver Room with a terrace (SSZ).
Alternatively, also bookable for single use with a terrace (PD1) or with a sea view (DEM).

With the same facilities as the Premium Double Rooms, these offer a partial sea view and a balcony (DMS, bookable until summer 2026).

Feature the same facilities as the double rooms and are located in a prime position with a direct sea view (ZF2).

Superior Double Room (bookable from summer 2027)

With the same facilities as the double rooms, these offer sleeping arrangements for four people and are slightly more spacious (DSU).

Junior Suite Private Pool

Consist of a combined living/bedroom and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobe, individually adjustable air conditioning, telephone, Wi-Fi, rental safe, satellite TV, mini-fridge, espresso machine, and a furnished terrace with pool view, sun loungers, parasol, and a private pool (ZJP). Optionally also bookable for single use (EJP) or, for an extra charge, as a slightly more spacious type A (ZJK).
The private pool is not monitored by a lifeguard. We kindly ask for cautious behavior and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety hazard for small children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

Meals

Half Board

Breakfast (7:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.) and dinner (7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.) in buffet form at the "Knossos" restaurant.
A barbecue evening takes place once a week.
Appropriate attire is requested for dinner. Beverages at dinner are not included.

Breakfast (7:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.), lunch (12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.), and dinner (7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.) are offered in buffet form at the "Knossos" restaurant. Additionally, snacks are available from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., ice cream for children from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., as well as coffee and pastries from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
A barbecue evening takes place once a week.
During meals, soft drinks, local beer, and wine are included. Other local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are offered at the respective open bars from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Climate Resilience Tax Note

For stays starting from January 1, 2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience tax, which is to be paid by the guest locally, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and, as of January 1, 2025, ranges from 0.50 euros to 15 euros per day and room.
