Location

This comfortable resort, consisting of a main building and several two-story bungalow buildings, is located directly on a long sandy/pebble beach and about 3.5 km from the village of Georgioupolis. Restaurants and bars are within walking distance. Heraklion Airport is approx. 100 km away, and Chania Airport is about 50 km away. The nearest bus stop is located about 200 m away.

The Vantaris Luxury Beach Resort hotel complex has 168 rooms as well as a lobby with a 24-hour reception and a lounge. Amenities also include the "Festos" Lobby Bar, the "Aptera" Beach Bar, an à la carte tavern (for a fee, also with All Inclusive), and a mini-market.
In the outdoor area, there is a freshwater swimming pool with a separate children's pool, as well as a sun terrace with sun loungers, parasols, and beach towels provided free of charge. Sun loungers and parasols on the beach are available for a fee. There is also a small playground for children. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the entire hotel complex.

Premium Double Room

The Premium Double Rooms feature a bathroom with walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, slippers, telephone, rental safe, satellite TV, refrigerator, air conditioning (individually adjustable), heating, tea/coffee maker, and a terrace with a mosquito net on the land side (PDZ).
Optionally bookable as a Super Saver Room with terrace (SSZ).
Alternatively also available for single use with terrace (PD1) or with sea view (DEM).

With the same features as the Premium Double Rooms, these offer a side sea view and a balcony (DMS, bookable until Summer 2026).

Feature the same amenities as the Double Rooms and are located in a preferred position with direct sea view (ZF2).

Superior Double Room (bookable from Summer 2027)

With the same amenities as the Double Rooms, these offer sleeping accommodations for four people and are somewhat more spacious (DSU).

Junior Suite Private Pool

Consist of a combined living/bedroom area and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobe, individually adjustable air conditioning, telephone, Wi-Fi, rental safe, satellite TV, mini-fridge, espresso machine, and a furnished terrace with pool view, sun loungers, parasol, and a private pool (ZJP). Optionally also available for single occupancy (EJP) or, for an additional charge, available as a slightly more spacious Junior Suite West Private Pool (ZJK).
The private pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We ask for prudent behavior and special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased hazard potential for small children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, schauinsland-reisen applies a minimum age requirement of 6 years for children booking these room types.

Half Board

Breakfast (7:30-10:30 a.m.) and dinner (7:00-9:30 p.m.) in buffet style at the "Knossos" restaurant.
A barbecue evening takes place once a week.
Appropriate attire is requested for dinner. Beverages are not included with dinner.

Breakfast (7:30–10:30 a.m.), lunch (12:30–2:30 p.m.), and dinner (7:00-9:30 p.m.) are served in buffet style at the "Knossos" restaurant. Additionally, snacks are available from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., ice cream for children from 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and coffee and pastries from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
A barbecue evening takes place once a week.
During meals, soft drinks, local beer, and wine are included. Other local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are offered at the open bars from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Destination information: Climate Resilience Fee

For stays starting from 1/1/2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on-site, comparable to a local tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and is tiered from €0.50 to €15 per day and room as of 1/1/2025.
