Location

The Grand Hotel Holiday Resort, a popular choice among families, leisure travelers, and beach vacationers, is distinguished by its excellent service and magnificent location. The complex consists of various bungalow buildings in a slightly elevated position and offers a wonderful view of the coast. A complimentary shuttle service is provided by the hotel to the beach in Stalida (approx. 1.5 km away, the shuttle runs several times a day). The town center of Chersonissos, with its small shops and local establishments, is approximately 2.5 km away. Heraklion Airport is less than 30 km away. A bus stop is located directly in front of the hotel.

The two-story buildings house the lobby with a reception, lounge areas, a bar with a terrace, restaurants, a jeweler, and a mini-market. Wi-Fi is included in public areas. The outdoor area offers three pools to suit individual needs. The children's pool brings joy to younger guests, an aqua park with various water slides provides action, and the main pool as well as the adult-only pool, with a sun terrace equipped with complimentary loungers and parasols, invite guests to relax and participate in sports activities. The superior rooms are equipped with bath/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, telephone, satellite TV, rental safe, refrigerator, air conditioning, and a balcony or terrace with a sea view (DMU/UMB/DIM). Optionally bookable for single use (DME) or as Type A for triple occupancy (MSA).

Family room Superior

The family rooms Superior are equipped with bath/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, telephone, satellite TV, rental safe, refrigerator, air conditioning, and a balcony or terrace. The rooms consist of a master bedroom and a children's bedroom with a second TV. The rooms are separated by a door (F2U).

The main restaurant "Dionysos" offers a rich breakfast buffet from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Upon request, a continental breakfast can be provided from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. In the evening, a varied buffet with show cooking is available from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Beverages are not included with dinner.
Children's meals are available.
Vegetarian dishes and meals for special dietary needs are also offered.
A "Smart Casual" dress code applies for dinner.

Furthermore, guests receive a discount on the entire wine list at all restaurants during meals.
For a pleasant change of pace, the two à-la-carte restaurants "Aegean" with Greek cuisine (6:30-10:00 p.m.) and "La Luna" with Italian specialties (7:30-10:30 p.m., from June-September) are available. Both are included once per stay upon prior reservation.
Snacks such as ice cream, pizza, souvlaki, burgers, or salads are offered from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The "Horizon" bar at the main pool offers mineral water, soft drinks, fruit juices, local draught wines, local alcoholic beverages, and a selection of international premium brands, filter coffee, iced coffee, frappé, and tea (counter service) from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The children's pool bar offers mineral water, soft drinks, and fruit juices served in a glass, local draught wines, filter coffee, iced coffee, frappé, and tea (counter service) from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. A bar is also available at the aqua park from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., serving mineral water, refreshments, draught beer, ice cream, and snacks (counter service). In good weather, guests can wind down the evening at the "Cocktail Bar" under the open sky (June-September). From 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., mineral water, soft drinks, fruit juices, draught beer, and a large selection of local wines are served here (counter service). The "Venus Lobby Bar" also ensures pleasant evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., offering mineral water, soft drinks, fruit juices, local wines, draught beer, local alcoholic beverages, and a selection of international premium brands, filter coffee, iced coffee, frappé, and tea (service).

These include: a children's restaurant, children's pool bar, children's pool, baby fountain pool, and "Aqua Park" with water slides (admission is for children aged 6 and up, with a minimum height of 1.20 m). There are also children's menus in the restaurant. Additionally, there is a supervised Mini Club and an outdoor play area for children with animation activities (ages 4-12) available (10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.), and a Mini Disco (8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., 6 days a week).

Information on Climate Resilience Fee

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government has introduced a climate resilience fee, to be paid by the guest locally, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and is tiered from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euros per day and room, effective from January 1, 2025.
For stays during the high season from April 1 to October 31:
1-2 star accommodation: 2 Euros
3 star accommodation: 5 Euros
4 star accommodation: 10 Euros
5 star accommodation: 15 Euros
For stays during the low season from November 1 to March 31:
1-2 star accommodation: 0.50 Euro
