Location

Enagron consists of an estate of approx. 60 hectares, on which several buildings with 36 residential units for 2 up to max. 6 people are distributed. It is located in a quiet area outside the mountain village of Axos. A mini market and various coffee houses are located in the village. The nearest beach is 26 km away.
The airport of Heraklion is about 44 km away, Chania airport (CHQ) approx. 106 km. Tip: Enagron is the ideal place for extensive walks; there are numerous churches to visit in the immediate vicinity. A few kilometers away there are some caves to explore, and the highest mountain on Crete (Psiloritis) is located approx. 19 km away.

The quietly located hotel has a total of 36 rooms. Inside, there is a 16-hour reception with a lobby, a spacious lounge with a fireplace, satellite TV and terrace, as well as a kafenion with a bar and a restaurant.
The spacious outdoor area offers a 90 m² freshwater pool (open daily from 9 am to 7 pm) with a sun terrace, sun loungers, seating, and parasols. Pool towels can be borrowed free of charge. Wi-Fi is available free of charge in all public areas as well as in the rooms.
The property also includes a spa area, a vineyard, well-kept gardens, a stable, and a small cheese dairy.

Accommodation

Studio

Tradition is reflected in every residential unit, and all generally feature the same amenities. Living/sleeping area with 2-3 traditional sofa beds or a sofa bed in the apartments, kitchenette (cooking pots, hot plates, coffee machine, electric kettle), fireplace, satellite TV, air conditioning, telephone, hairdryer, rental safe, shower/WC, and a balcony with a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside. The studios have a double bed in the living/sleeping area (S12).
Optionally also bookable as Studio Type A in maisonette style with an open sleeping area on the upper floor (AST).

Apartment

The apartments have a separate bedroom with a double bed and, depending on occupancy, an additional extra bed. They are equipped with a kitchenette (cooking pots, hot plates, coffee machine, electric kettle), fireplace, satellite TV, air conditioning, telephone, hairdryer, rental safe, shower/WC, and a balcony with a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside (A12).
Optionally also bookable with additional sleeping options and in maisonette style, with an open sleeping area on the upper floor (A15).

Apartment 2 Bedrooms

The 2-bedroom apartments are also designed in maisonette style. A living/sleeping area with two single beds, a separate bedroom, a bathroom with shower/WC, and a kitchenette are located on the lower floor, while an additional sleeping area with two single beds as well as a second bathroom are located on the upper floor. The rooms also have a fireplace, satellite TV, air conditioning, telephone, hairdryer, rental safe, and a balcony (A22).

Meals

Bed & Breakfast/Half Board

Bed only or with breakfast. Breakfast is offered in buffet form with traditional products from 8 am to 10:30 am.
With half board, dinner is also included (from 7 pm to 10 pm). Many products used to prepare the predominantly seasonal meals come from their own cultivation and production.
Drinks are not included with dinner.
Vegetarian dishes as well as special diets are offered; please register at the reception upon arrival.

Wellness

From April to the end of October, a comprehensive range of services is offered at the Ataraxia Eco-Spa. Natural and local skincare products are used. A sauna, a whirlpool, and new outdoor hydromassage bathtubs are also available (for a fee).

Entertainment

To get closer to the life of the Cretans, Enagron offers various on-site activities: participation in agricultural work, participation in or watching cultural, social or religious (e.g., Easter festival) events, bakery/cheese making, grape harvest (in September), and Raki production.

Note: Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from 1.1.2018, the Greek government imposes a climate resilience levy, which must be paid by the guest locally, comparable to a tourist tax.
