The 5-star Mitsis Royal Mare resort is located directly on the Blue Flag-awarded beach of Anissaras. Bars, restaurants, as well as shopping and entertainment venues are within walking distance. Heraklion airport is approx. 25 km away, and a bus stop is located about 180 m away.

The sprawling, modern hotel complex features 385 luxuriously appointed rooms and offers an entrance hall with a 24-hour reception and lobby, a main restaurant, five à la carte restaurants, four bars, a boutique, a mini-market, and a beautiful wellness area with a heated indoor pool. The outdoor area includes a pool landscape with two seawater swimming pools, a seawater whirlpool, a children's pool, and many private and shared pools. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pool and at the beach. Pool towels are available for loan free of charge. Wi-Fi is included throughout the hotel complex.

Double Room

The spacious double rooms feature a bedroom with an integrated seating area, as well as a bathroom or shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, air conditioning, safe, satellite TV, telephone, coffee/tea maker with daily replenishment, minibar with daily replenishment, a welcome drink upon arrival, and a furnished terrace or balcony with a view of the garden (B2A). Also available for single occupancy (B1A), with a side sea view (2BS), or with a direct sea view (B2M).

Double Room Sharing Pool

The Mitsis Royal Mare offers tasty delicacies and varied drinks around the clock.
Early riser breakfast (4-7 am), breakfast (7-10:30 am), lunch (12:30-2:30 pm), and dinner (6:30-9:30 pm) in buffet style, and cold and warm midnight snacks (10 pm-4 am) at the main restaurant "Symposio".
Alternatively, brunch from 9 am-12 pm at the à la carte restaurant "Pacifico" (reservation required), lunch from 12:30 pm-6 pm at the beach restaurant "Albatros" (restaurant with takeaway food), or from 12:30 pm-5 pm at the Italian à la carte restaurant "Allegro" (reservation required).
Crepes, waffles, ice cream, and coffee from 8:30 am-10 pm at "Alegria". Tea time from 5 pm-7 pm.
Dinner alternatively also from 6:30 pm-10 pm at the Mediterranean à la carte restaurant "Candia", at the Asian à la carte restaurant "Royal Palm", or at the South American à la carte restaurant "Pacifico" (all with reservation).
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as international spirits are available from 9 am-2 am at the currently open bar and are included.
Gluten-free, lactose-free, vegan, and vegetarian dishes are available free of charge upon request (please register on-site).

Note on climate resilience fee

For stays starting from 1.1.2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience fee, to be paid by the guest on-site, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and is tiered from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euros per day and room as of 1.1.2025.
