Location

The Atlantica Akti Zeus hotel is located directly on the long sandy/pebble beach of Ammoudara. In the immediate vicinity, you'll find numerous shops and entertainment options, and a bus stop is only about 120 m away. The center of Heraklion can be reached in approx. 12 km. Heraklion Airport is also easily accessible and is located approx. 15 km from the hotel.

The family-friendly resort features 368 rooms spread across 3 buildings, offering a lobby with a 24-hour reception, elevators, 1 buffet restaurant, 2 à la carte restaurants (Italian and Greek; both incur a fee, reservation required), several bars, a wine cellar, souvenir shop, jeweler, and a mini-market. Wi-Fi is included throughout the resort. The well-maintained garden area includes a hotel-owned water park with several slides (admission included, bar in the water park incurs a fee) as well as 2 swimming pools with sun terrace and pool/snack bar. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pool and on the beach. Bath towels can be rented for a deposit. Parking is available at the hotel free of charge, subject to availability.

Double room

The modernly furnished rooms feature a bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, double bed or 2 single beds, telephone, LCD TV, individually adjustable air conditioning, mini-fridge, safe for rent, coffee/tea maker, and a balcony or terrace (D). For a 3rd or 4th person, there are additional beds (DA/DB).

With the same amenities as the double rooms, a sliding door (not available in all rooms) separates additional sleeping areas (DF2).

Suite

The spacious suites, with the same amenities as the double rooms, consist of a living/sleeping area and a separate bedroom (no connecting door) (S2).

Superior Family room

The Superior Family rooms, with otherwise identical amenities to the double rooms, additionally offer a separable sleeping area (F2U).

Meals

All Inclusive

Breakfast (7:30 AM - 10:30 AM), lunch (12:30 PM - 2:30 PM), and dinner (6:30 PM - 9:30 PM) are served buffet-style. Vegetarian and gluten-free meals are also offered. Occasionally, there are various theme nights.
Once per stay, you can enjoy dinner at the Greek à la carte restaurant (reservation required).
During the day from 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM, various snacks are offered, and in the afternoon from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, coffee, tea, and pastries are available. Snacks are available at the lobby bar after 11:00 PM.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are included at the respective open bar from 10:00 AM to 12:00 AM.

Note on Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from January 1, 2018 onwards, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest locally, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and will be tiered from €0.50 to €15 per day per room from January 1, 2025.
