Location

The Maravel Star Art hotel is located directly on the beautiful, long sandy/pebble beach of Adelianos Kambos, which has been awarded the "Blue Flag". It is approximately 8 km from the centre of Rethymnon. Numerous shops and entertainment options are available in Rethymnon. Regular bus connections are available, and a bus stop is located very close by. Heraklion Airport is approximately 70 km away, and Chania Airport is approximately 73 km away.

The family-run schauinsland-reisen original Adults-friendly hotel (bookable for ages 12 and up) has been renovated and modernized in some areas for Summer 2024. It has a total of 41 rooms, a new lounge with a 24-hour reception, lift, Wi-Fi (included), and a modernized main restaurant. Outside, there is a swimming pool with a terrace and a beach bar. In the garden area, gazebos, poufs, hammocks, and a selection of sun loungers and lounge furniture, as well as umbrellas around the pool are available free of charge, inviting you to relax. Sun loungers with comfortable mattresses and umbrellas are also available free of charge on the beach. Bath towels are included (changed every 2 days. An earlier change is possible for a fee).

Renovated Double Room

The double rooms have been newly designed for Summer 2024 and shine with a modern ambience. They feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, care products, a new comfortable king-size bed, individually controlled air conditioning, ceiling fan, full-length mirror, Wi-Fi, telephone, safety deposit box (for a fee), 52" plasma satellite TV, insect screens on the windows, mini-fridge, coffee/tea making facilities with daily replenishment, kettle, Nespresso machine (2 capsules per day included, further capsules available for a surcharge), and a balcony or terrace (D/DA). A bottle of water is provided upon arrival.
Optionally available at a surcharge with sea view (DM) or for single occupancy (DE/DEA/DEM).

These rooms have the same amenities as the double rooms but are more spacious and also conveniently located near the beach with a sea view (VI2).

Early continental breakfast (4:00-7:30 AM, available on request 1 day in advance until 5:00 PM).
Breakfast served as a continental buffet with a Cretan corner (7:30 AM–10:00 AM).
Dinner served as a rich buffet (7:00 PM–9:00 PM).
A themed dinner is held once a week.
Appropriate attire (smart casual) is requested in the restaurant.

Note for climate resilience levy

For stays from 01.01.2018 onwards, the Greek government levies a climate resilience contribution, which is to be paid by the guest on site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and, from 01.01.2025, will range from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room, depending on the category.
