Location

The Maravel Star Art hotel is located directly on the beautiful, long sandy/pebble beach of Adelianos Kambos, which has been awarded the "Blue Flag". It is approximately 8 km from the center of Rethymnon. Numerous shops and entertainment options are available in Rethymnon. Regular public bus connections are available, and a bus stop is located in the immediate vicinity. Heraklion Airport is approximately 70 km away, and Chania Airport is approximately 73 km away.

Facilities

The family-run schauinsland-reisen original Adults-friendly hotel (bookable for ages 12 and up) was renovated and modernized in some areas for Summer 2024. It has a total of 41 rooms, a new lounge with a 24-hour reception, elevator, Wi-Fi (included), and a modernized main restaurant. The outdoor area features a swimming pool with a terrace and a beach bar. In the garden area, gazebos, poufs, hammocks, and a selection of sun loungers and lounge furniture, as well as umbrellas around the pool, are available free of charge and invite you to relax. At the beach, loungers with comfortable mattresses and umbrellas are also available free of charge. Bath towels are included (changed every 2 days. An earlier exchange is possible for a fee).

Renovated Double Room

The double rooms have been newly designed for Summer 2024 and feature a modern ambiance. They include a shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, a new comfortable king-size bed, individually adjustable air conditioning, ceiling fan, full-length mirror, Wi-Fi, telephone, safety deposit box (rental), 52" plasma satellite TV, insect screens on the windows, mini-fridge, coffee/tea maker with daily refill, electric kettle, Nespresso machine (2 capsules per day included, more available for a fee), and a balcony or terrace (D/DA). A bottle of water is provided upon arrival.
Optionally, also available with sea view (DM) or for single occupancy (DE/DEA/DEM) for an additional charge.

Renovated Double Room Sea View VIP

These rooms have the same amenities as the double rooms but are more spacious and are located close to the beach with a sea view (VI2).

Early continental breakfast (4 AM - 7:30 AM, upon request with 1 day advance notice until 5 PM).
Breakfast as a continental buffet with a Cretan corner (7:30 AM - 10 AM).
Dinner as a lavish buffet (7 PM - 9 PM).
Once a week, a theme night is held.
Appropriate attire (smart casual) is requested in the restaurant.

Note on Climate Resilience Fee

For stays from 01.01.2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, payable by the guest on site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and is tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room from 1.1.2025.
