Location

The Amnissos Residence hotel, which is family-run with great care, is located in the village of Pigianos Kampos, about 150 m from the sand/pebble beach (natural beach; bathing shoes recommended; at the "Paraplous" taverna; one road must be crossed; drinks and meals are available there for a fee). A free shuttle to the beach is offered if desired (please contact the reception for this).
Shops and entertainment facilities are located in the immediate vicinity. The port city of Rethymnon with its beautiful old town and magnificent avenues is only approx. 8 km away, a bus stop is located in front of the hotel. Heraklion Airport is approx. 75 km away.

The schauinsland-reisen original hotel, built in a village-like style, was renovated in many areas for Summer 2023. It has 87 rooms, spread across a main building and several bungalow buildings, and offers a 24-hour reception, lobby, luggage room, Wi-Fi (included throughout the complex), and the buffet restaurant "Olive Tree".
A highlight is the newly built rooftop bar "Open Sky" from 2023, which invites you for a cocktail with a beautiful view in the evening. In the well-maintained outdoor area of the hotel, there is a swimming pool with an integrated children's pool and a renovated sun terrace, which invites you to linger with gazebos, poufs, and comfortable sun loungers. The tropical Shisha Bar "Tropical" by the main pool also provides refreshments (Shisha for a fee).
Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pool and on the beach (at the "Paraplous" taverna; the taverna is for a fee). Beach towels are available for a deposit. Parking spaces at the hotel are included, subject to availability.

The double rooms located in the main building of the hotel have a shower/WC, hairdryer, bathroom amenities, telephone, LCD satellite TV, Wi-Fi (incl.), individually adjustable air conditioning, safe (incl.), mini-fridge (can be used as a minibar on request, refill for a fee), coffee/tea making facilities (daily refill), and balcony or terrace (D/DI). A bottle of water is provided in the room upon arrival.

These rooms were newly built in Winter 2021/2022 and offer more modern amenities (2BD).

These rooms have the same amenities as the double rooms, have been renovated, and are located on the upper or lower floor of the bungalow buildings with a jacuzzi on the terrace (2CW).

The jacuzzi is not supervised by a lifeguard. We ask for careful behavior and special attention when using this area.

Bungalow Swim-Up

These rooms have the same amenities as the double rooms, have been renovated, and are located in the bungalow buildings with direct access to the communal pool (BSW).

Early bird breakfast (on request), breakfast (7:30-10 AM), lunch (1:30-3 PM), and dinner (7:30-9:30 PM) are served buffet-style with live cooking stations in the main restaurant "Olive Tree" featuring Greek and international cuisine.

Notice for Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from January 1, 2018 onwards, the Greek government charges a climate resilience levy, which is to be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and ranges from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room from January 1, 2025.
