Location

The family-run Amnissos Residence, managed with great care, is located in the village of Pigi, about 150m from the sand/pebble beach (natural beach; swimming shoes recommended; at the "Paraplous" taverna; a road must be crossed; drinks and food available for a fee). If desired, a free shuttle to the beach is offered (please contact the reception).
Shops and entertainment facilities are available in the vicinity. The port city of Rethymnon with its beautiful old town and magnificent avenues is only approx. 8 km away, a bus stop is located in front of the hotel.
Heraklion Airport is approximately 75 km away.

Built in a village-like style, the original schauinsland-reisen hotel was renovated in many areas in summer 2023. It offers 87 rooms, spread across a main building and several bungalow buildings, and features a 24-hour reception, lobby, luggage room, Wi-Fi (included throughout the complex), and the buffet restaurant "Olive Tree".
A highlight is the newly built rooftop bar "Open Sky" for 2023, which invites you for an evening cocktail with a beautiful view. The well-maintained outdoor area of the hotel includes a swimming pool with an integrated children's pool and a renovated sun terrace with gazebos, poufs, and comfortable sun loungers for relaxation. The tropical Shisha Bar "Tropical" by the main pool also provides refreshments (shisha for a fee).
Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pool and at the beach (at the "Paraplous" taverna, the taverna is for a fee). Beach towels are available for a deposit. Parking spaces at the hotel are included, subject to availability.

Double Room Main Building

The double rooms located in the main building of the hotel feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, bathroom amenities, telephone, LCD satellite TV, Wi-Fi (incl.), individually controlled air conditioning, safe (included), mini-fridge (can be used as a minibar upon request, refill for a fee), coffee/tea making facilities (refilled daily), and a balcony or terrace (D/DI). A bottle of water will be provided in your room upon arrival.

These rooms have the same amenities as the double rooms (in various designs), have been renovated, and are located in the bungalow buildings (2BU/3BU/4BU). Also bookable for single occupancy (1BU/BUA).

Deluxe Bungalow

These rooms were newly built in winter 2021/2022 and offer more modern amenities (2BD).

Bungalow Whirlpool

These rooms have the same amenities as the double rooms, have been renovated, and are located on the upper or lower floor of the bungalow buildings with a whirlpool on the terrace (2CW).
Also bookable for single occupancy (C1Q).
The whirlpool is not supervised by a lifeguard. Please therefore pay special attention to your children when using this area and act with caution.

Bungalow Swim-Up

These rooms have the same amenities as the double rooms, have been renovated, and are located in the bungalow buildings with direct access to the shared pool (BSW).
Also bookable for single occupancy (SWE).
The swim-up pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. Please therefore pay special attention to your children when using this area and act with caution.

Early bird breakfast (on request), breakfast (7:30-10 AM), lunch (1:30-3 PM), and dinner (7:30-9:30 PM) are served buffet-style with live cooking stations at the hotel's main restaurant, "Olive Tree", offering Greek and international cuisine.

Freshly squeezed orange juice is included during breakfast.

Additionally, 10 different cocktails (Blue Lagoon, Cosmopolitan, Tequila Sunrise, Cretan Margarita, Greek Sunset, Pina Colada, Strawberry Mojito, Bellini, White Lady, Tutti Frutti) are included during the specified times.

Note on Climate Resilience Levy
