Location

The Grand Blue Hotel is situated in a beautiful hillside location with breathtaking views of the azure sea and is located in Kardamena, above a small sand/pebble beach (bathing shoes recommended). Shopping and entertainment options can be found in the immediate vicinity. The town of Kardamena and a bus stop can be reached after approx. 500 m. Kos Airport is approx. 7 km away.

The spacious, family-friendly complex has 230 bungalow-style rooms and offers a 24-hour reception, a lobby renovated in summer 2025, 3 lifts, an internet corner, free Wi-Fi throughout the complex, 2 buffet restaurants (Greek and international cuisine), 1 à-la-carte restaurant (reservation required), 4 bars, and a mini-market.
The well-maintained outdoor area includes 3 swimming pools, one of which is for adults only, 2 children's pools, a pool bar, and a sun terrace. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels are included at the pool and beach.
Admission to the Lido Water Park (open weather-dependent from June to September) with shuttle service from the hotel is included.

Superior double room renovated

Renovated for summer 2025, these rooms feature bath/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, individually adjustable air conditioning, safe, telephone, smart TV, mini-fridge (bottle of water upon arrival), coffee/tea station refilled every two days, kettle, and a balcony or terrace (DSU). Optionally available for single use (DSE/DAE), with a sea view for an additional charge (DMU/DMI), or for single use with a sea view (DME/AME).

Deluxe double room sea view renovated

Featuring the same facilities as the double rooms, these modern rooms additionally include a Nespresso machine, pillow menu, higher-quality bed linen, and a mini-fridge filled with soft drinks upon arrival (DDM/MDI).

Comfort double room renovated

These more spacious comfort double rooms consist of a combined living/sleeping room and a separate bedroom, with otherwise the same features as the double rooms (DKO).

Junior suite renovated

The elegant junior suites were renovated for summer 2025 and consist of a combined living/sleeping room and a separate bedroom, with the same facilities as the superior double rooms (JS2/JSI).

Grand Blue suite sea view renovated

With the same facilities as the junior suite, these rooms include smart TVs in the bedroom and the living/sleeping area, a Nespresso machine (including refills every two days), and a balcony or terrace with a sea view (J2M). Additionally, guests in this room category receive a free rental car for one day for stays of at least 5 nights, and a mini-fridge filled with soft drinks upon arrival.

The elegant family suites were renovated for summer 2025 and feature a living room with a sofa bed for the children, a separate bedroom, bath/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, individually adjustable air conditioning, safe, telephone, smart TV, mini-fridge (bottle of water upon arrival), coffee/tea station with refills every two days, kettle, and a balcony or terrace (2FS).

Breakfast (7-10 am), lunch (12:30-2:30 pm), and dinner (6:30-9:30 pm) are offered in the buffet restaurants.
Alternatively, a late-riser breakfast (10-11 am) can be enjoyed, or dinner can be taken in the à-la-carte restaurant (reservation required). A light lunch is served in the "Azure" restaurant between 12 pm and 2 pm.
From 10 am to 5 pm, various cold snacks, ice cream (10 am-10 pm at the "Serenity" and "Seabreeze" pool bars), and coffee/tea (various types such as filter coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte macchiato, Greek coffee, frappé, freddo espresso/cappuccino, etc.) are offered at the pool bar.
Local and international non-alcoholic and alcoholic branded beverages such as whiskey, gin, vodka, rum, brandy, tequila, long drinks, various cocktails, 2 different brands of bottled and draught beer, 2 different types of wine, house wine, soft drinks, coffee/tea, and water are included from 10 am to midnight at the respective open bar.

Destination information Climate Resilience Fee

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on site, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and is staggered from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euro per room and per night from January 1, 2025.
