Location

The Grand Blue Hotel is situated in a beautiful hillside location with a breathtaking view of the azure sea and is located in Kardamena, above a small, private sand/pebble beach. Shops and entertainment facilities are in the immediate vicinity. The town of Kardamena, as well as a bus stop, can be reached in approx. 500 m. Kos Airport is approx. 7 km away.

The extensive, family-friendly complex has 230 rooms in bungalow style and offers a 24-hour reception, a lobby renovated for summer 2025, 3 lifts, internet corner, free Wi-Fi throughout the complex, 2 buffet restaurants (Greek and international cuisine), 1 à la carte restaurant (reservation required), 4 bars and a mini-market.
In the well-kept outdoor area, there are 3 swimming pools, one of which is adults-only, 2 children's pools, a pool bar and a sun terrace. Sun loungers and umbrellas as well as beach towels are included by the pool and on the beach.
Entry to the Lido water park (open June-September, weather permitting) with shuttle service from the hotel is included.

Double Room Superior renovated

The rooms, renovated for 2025, have a bath/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, individually adjustable air conditioning, safe, telephone, smart TV, mini-fridge (bottle of water on arrival), coffee/tea station with refills every two days, kettle, and a balcony or terrace (DSU). Optionally also for single use (DSE/DAE), with sea view at an extra charge (DMU/DMI) or for single use with sea view can be booked (DME/AME).

Double Room Deluxe Sea View renovated

The modernly furnished rooms have the same amenities as the double rooms, plus a Nespresso machine, pillow menu, higher quality bedding, and a mini-fridge filled with soft drinks on arrival (DDM/MDI).

Double Room Comfort renovated

The more spacious comfort double rooms, otherwise with the same amenities as the double rooms, consist of a combined living/sleeping area and a separate bedroom (DKO).

Junior Suite renovated

The elegant junior suites were renovated for 2025 and, with the same amenities as the Double Room Superior, consist of a combined living/sleeping area and a separate bedroom (JS2/JSI).

Grand Blue Suite Sea View renovated

With the same amenities as the Junior Suite, they feature smart TVs in the bedroom and in the living/sleeping area, a Nespresso machine (including refills every two days), and a balcony or terrace with sea view (J2M). Guests in this room category also receive a complimentary rental car for one day for stays of 5 nights or more, and a mini-fridge filled with soft drinks upon arrival.

Family Suite

The elegant family suites were renovated for summer 2025 and feature a living area with a sofa bed for children, a separate bedroom, bath/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, individually adjustable air conditioning, safe, telephone, smart TV, mini-fridge (bottle of water on arrival), coffee/tea station with refills every two days, kettle, and a balcony or terrace (2FS).

Breakfast (7-10 am), lunch (12:30-2:30 pm) and dinner (6:30-9:30 pm) are served in the buffet restaurants.
Alternatively, a late riser breakfast (10-11 am) or dinner in the à la carte restaurant (reservation required) can be enjoyed. A light lunch is offered in the "Azure" restaurant from 12-2 pm.
From 10 am to 5 pm, various cold snacks, ice cream (10 am-10 pm at the "Serenity" and "Seabreeze Pool Bar"), coffee/tea (various coffee types such as filter coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte macchiato, Greek coffee, frappé, Fredo espresso/cappuccino etc.) are available at the pool bar.
Local and international non-alcoholic and alcoholic branded drinks such as whiskey, gin, vodka, rum, gin, rum, brandy, tequila, long drinks, various cocktails, 2 different brands of bottled and draft beer, 2 different types of wine, house wine, soft drinks, coffee/tea and water are included from 10 am to 12 am at the respective open bar.

Note on Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from 01.01.2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience levy, which must be paid by the guest on site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and will be tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room starting from 01.01.2025.
