Just 40 km from Dresden, in the heart of the popular hiking and winter sports region in the spa town of Altenberg, the AHORN Waldhotel Altenberg is located in the Schellerhau district, a state-recognized climatic health resort. Nestled in the beautiful Ore Mountains, not far from the breathtaking Saxon Switzerland, the 3-star Superior hotel in Altenberg invites you for a holiday with offerings for the whole family and for every season.

Facilities

The hotel has a total of 222 rooms and offers its guests a reception with a lobby bar with SKY TV, a buffet restaurant, the à la carte restaurant "Glück Auf" with regional and national cuisine, and a summer terrace with a beer garden (seasonally open). The spacious outdoor area beckons in summer with a heated outdoor pool (12x6 m, seasonally open) and a large sunbathing lawn.

Double Room

The modern double rooms (D, approx. 17-19 m²) are equipped with a double bed and feature a 49-inch TV including radio, telephone, safe, free Wi-Fi, shower/WC, hairdryer, and a magnificent valley view (without balcony).
Also available as a single room with child (D1K) upon request.

Single Room

The rooms (E) feature a TV, telephone, safe, shower/WC, and hairdryer. The rooms consist of a sleeping area with a single bed. The average room size is approx. 16 m².

Double Room Type A

The double rooms type A (DA, approx. 18-21 m²) have otherwise the same amenities as the double rooms, some with a magnificent mountain view (without balcony).

Family Room

The family accommodation (DF2, approx. 34 m²) consists of two adjacent double rooms (without connecting door) or opposite each other.
