The Heritance Ahungalla Hotel is located on the popular southwest coast of Sri Lanka, right on the beautiful beach. The international airport in Colombo is approximately 122 km away.

This luxury hotel with 152 rooms is picturesquely nestled in the landscape and features a reception, a coffee shop, and a nightclub. Heritance Aarah

Location

Tropical island with overwater villas and turquoise water.
Overwater bungalows with a pier in turquoise sea before a tropical beach.

The island is located in the still nearly untouched Raa Atoll and is surrounded by a dreamlike white sandy beach. The house reef is approximately 80 - 100 m away. The transfer duration from Male Airport is approx. 30 minutes by domestic flight to Dharavandoo Island Airport, followed by another 40-45 minutes by speedboat. The transfer time from Male international airport by seaplane is approx. 45 minutes (bookable for an additional fee).

Facilities

The luxury resort offers a total of 150 villas and suites, some of which are the largest villas in the country. Guests are welcomed in an open-air reception. Six restaurants and five bars take care of your culinary needs. These include the all-day dining restaurant "Ralu" with its Mediterranean cuisine. "Ranba" awaits its guests with international and Asian cuisine. Fresh seafood is served in "Ginfiati," and homemade pizza is offered at the "Pizza Shack." "Hathaa" surprises its guests with street food from Tokyo and Bangkok. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge by the swimming pool and on the beach. A highlight of the island is the overwater infinity pool, which may be used exclusively by guests of the Ocean Suites.

Beach Villa

The Beach Villas (approx. 88 m² including outdoor area) are lined up along the beach and feature a large bathroom with outdoor shower, bathtub/WC, hairdryer, bathrobe/slippers, air conditioning, minibar, flatscreen TV, safe, tea/coffee maker, large daybed, as well as a large sun deck offering direct access to the beach. Beach Villa Pool

With the same amenities as the Beach Villas, these rooms (approx. 93 m² including outdoor area) feature a larger outdoor area with a private pool and sun loungers and also offer direct beach access. (VPZ)
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children booked into these room types.

With the same amenities as the Beach Villas, these are built on stilts over the sea and additionally provide direct access to the sea. (There is no outdoor shower). (2OV/OQ2)

Ocean Suite

All meals can be enjoyed in one of the six restaurants (advance booking required, meals at "Hathaa" for an additional charge). Depending on the restaurant, dishes are served as a buffet or a-la-carte, as well as at live cooking stations. Theme nights are also occasionally held. During the day, a selection of snacks is offered at the pool. Selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included at the bars when open. Refill of the minibar once daily.

Waiting times of 3 hours or more for the onward transfer are possible.
During the seaplane transfer, there may be 1–2 stopovers.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Male must be booked in advance. The costs for this must be borne by the guest. Exceptions are changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or longer waiting times during entry (here our local agency will take care of any necessary overnight stay).

Seaplane flights and most boat transfers (depending on the location of the island) as well as currently mostly domestic flights are only carried out during the day. Therefore, an overnight stay in Male may be necessary.
