Location

Day 1: Minuwangoda
Arrival at Colombo Airport and transfer to a hotel near the airport. In the afternoon, enjoy time to relax or take a Negombo City Tour.
Overnight stay and dinner at the Tamarind Tree Hotel or similar.
Day 2: Minuwangoda – Polonnaruwa – Sigiriya
After breakfast, drive towards the Cultural Triangle, with Polonnaruwa, the second ancient capital of Sri Lanka and a UNESCO World Heritage site, as the first destination. Polonnaruwa flourished from the 11th to the 13th century. The impressive, rock-cut Buddha statues of Gal Vihara are also well-known. After the visit, continue to Sigiriya by bicycle.
Overnight stay and dinner at the Kasyapa Lion Rock Hotel or similar.
Day 3: Sigiriya
Early in the morning, before breakfast, embark on a journey to the Pidurangala rock fortress to climb it. Afterwards, return to the hotel for breakfast. Then, explore Sigiriya with its diverse landscapes.
Overnight stay and dinner at the Kasyapa Lion Rock Hotel or similar.
Day 4: Sigiriya – Matale – Kandy
After breakfast, on the way to Kandy, stop in Matale to visit the impressive Muthumariamman Temple. En route to Kandy, visit a typical spice and herb garden. Continue to Kandy, the last royal capital of the country. During a city tour, you will visit the famous Temple of the Tooth, and in the evening, experience a cultural dance performance.
Overnight stay and dinner at the Topaz Hotel or similar.
Day 5: Kandy-Nuwara Eliya
Depart for the train station after breakfast. From there, enjoy a train journey from Kandy to Nanu Oya to explore the secret of world-famous Ceylon tea.
Nuwara Eliya, also known as "Little England," is still characterized by its English colonial past.
Overnight stay and dinner at the Victoria Suites Hotel or similar.
Day 6: Nuwara Eliya-Udawalawe
After breakfast, head towards Udawalawe, visiting the Buduruwagala Temple with its large Buddha statue. After checking into your accommodation, visit Udawalawe National Park with its breathtaking scenery and the elephants living there.
Overnight stay and dinner at the Nildiya Tents Hotel or similar.
Day 7: Udawalawe – Galle – Colombo
After breakfast, travel along the southwest coast, passing by the unique fort city of Galle, towards Colombo.
Overnight stay and dinner at The Ocean or similar.
Day 8: Colombo-Airport/Extension
After breakfast, return to the airport or continue to your booked extension hotel.
