Location

The Angaga Island Resort & Spa is located on a lushly vegetated island in the southern part of the Ari Atoll, surrounded by white sandy beaches and a crystal-clear lagoon. The house reef, located only approx. 7–8 m from the beach, offers ideal conditions for snorkeling and diving. The transfer time from Male International Airport by seaplane is approx. 25 minutes.

Facilities

This small holiday paradise offers a total of 94 rooms on land and on stilts over the water. Amenities at the resort, which is popular with regular guests, include an open reception area with front desk, a library, and a souvenir shop. For culinary enjoyment in a relaxed atmosphere, there is a buffet restaurant, the main bar, a Sunset Bar, and a coffee shop. Sun loungers and beach towels are available on the island free of charge.

Superior Beach Bungalow

The 45 m² Superior Beach Bungalows are freshly renovated and feature a bathroom with bathtub, separate shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, air conditioning, minibar (for a fee), tea/coffee maker, satellite TV, safe, telephone, and a furnished terrace with sea view (SBU/SBE/SB3).

Superior Water Bungalow

With the same features but slightly larger (approx. 65 m²), these rooms are built over the water and additionally feature a table with a glass bottom and direct sea access (WB2/WB3).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for young children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children booked into these room types.

Premium Water Bungalow

The Premium Water Bungalows are newly built and offer more space with the same features (approx. 78 m² in size, WR2/WR3).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for young children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children booked into these room types.

Meals

HP/VP/HP+/AI

For half-board bookings, breakfast and dinner are served buffet-style. Full-board bookings include lunch as well. With half-board+, guests receive breakfast and dinner buffet-style, plus a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks between 8:00 AM and midnight. Additionally, a half-day snorkeling trip by Dhoni is included with HP+. (Snorkeling equipment included).

All Inclusive

All Inclusive

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet-style. Snacks from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM and from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (mineral water, soft drinks, fruit juices, coffee, tea, beer, house wine, selected cocktails, and various spirits) are served by the glass at the bar from 8:00 AM to midnight. In addition to the All Inclusive plan, guests receive snorkeling equipment and one half-day snorkeling trip per person/stay free of charge.

Speedboat: Operation for expected arrival/departure from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM // Domestic flight: Operation expected for arrivals/departures from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM // Seaplane: Operation expected for arrivals/departures from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
There may be 1–2 stopovers for seaplane transfers.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Male must be booked in advance. Costs for this are to be borne by the guest. Exceptions apply to changes caused by flight delays, bad weather, or long waiting times at immigration (in such cases, our local agency will handle any necessary overnight accommodation).
Seaplane flights and most boat transfers (depending on the island's location), as well as most domestic flights currently, are only operated during daylight hours. Therefore, an overnight stay in Male may be required.

The baggage allowance for seaplanes is 20 kg + 3 kg of hand luggage per person. Excess baggage must be paid for on-site (approx. 5 USD per kg). Excess baggage is usually delivered by boat at a later time.

In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. For an occupancy of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, it may be that only 1 or 2 large beds are available in total. Consequently, it may occur that for 2 adults + 1 or 2 children in one room, a child must sleep in the parents' bed.
