Location

The island, measuring approx. 750 x 290 m with around 2 km of white sandy beach, is located in the largely unspoiled Raa Atoll. The house reef is approximately 80 m to 250 m away. Excellent diving and snorkeling sites can be quickly reached by boat. The transfer time from the airport is approx. 20 minutes by domestic flight to Dharavandoo Island airport, followed by another 40-45 minutes by speedboat. The transfer time from Malé International Airport by seaplane is approx. 45 minutes (can be booked for an additional charge).

Facilities

This popular resort promises a holiday in a casual atmosphere. It features a total of 211 rooms spread across the island in chalets. Further facilities include a reception, an internet corner, and a shopping arcade with a souvenir shop. Culinary delights await guests in the main restaurant, the à la carte restaurant, and the Café Mass Bar. Three bars serve cool refreshments. Near the beach, there is a large swimming pool with a pool bar and terrace. Sun loungers and bath towels are included at the pool and the beach.

Beach Villa

The Beach Villas (approx. 51 m²) are clustered along the island's coastline. They are spacious and feature a semi-open bathroom with an indoor and outdoor shower, hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, safe, and minibar, as well as a furnished wooden terrace facing the sea (2BV/1BV, Type I with identical facilities (EE1/EE2)).

Deluxe Beach Villa

With the same facilities and size as the Beach Villa (D2V/D1V), but with a more modern design. Also available as Type I rooms with identical facilities (HR1/HR2). For an additional charge, these can also be booked on the sunset side (S2V, or as Type I with identical facilities (NI2)).

Jacuzzi Beach Villa

Same as the Deluxe Beach Villa, with the addition of a Jacuzzi (J2Y).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access represent a potential safety hazard for young children. Therefore, for safety reasons, schauinsland-reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

2 Bedroom Family Beach Villa

With similar facilities to the Beach Villa but larger; these consist of two interconnecting Beach Villas (FBV).

Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
There may be 1–2 stopovers for seaplane transfers.
For arrivals/departures outside of these times, an overnight stay in Malé must be booked in advance. The costs for this must be borne by the guest. Exceptions are changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or long waiting times at immigration (in such cases, our local agency will take care of a potential overnight stay).

In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. With an occupancy of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, there may only be a total of 1 or 2 large beds available. Travel information

All flight transfers as well as most boat transfers (depending on the location of the island) are only carried out during daylight hours. This may result in an overnight stay in Malé (near the airport).
