Location

The island, measuring approx. 750 x 290 m with a white sandy beach about 2 km long, is located in the still largely untouched Raa Atoll. The house reef is about 80 m to 250 m away. Excellent diving and snorkeling sites can be reached quickly by boat. The transfer time from the airport is approx. 20 minutes by domestic flight to Dharavandoo Island Airport, followed by a 40-45 minute speedboat ride. The transfer time from Malé International Airport by seaplane is approx. 45 minutes (can be booked at an additional cost).

Facilities

This popular resort promises a holiday in a relaxed atmosphere. It has a total of 211 villas, which are spread out in chalets around the island. Further facilities include a reception, an internet corner, and a shopping arcade with a souvenir shop. Culinary delights await guests in the main restaurant, the à-la-carte restaurant, and the Café Mass Bar. Three bars serve cool refreshments. Near the beach, there is a large swimming pool with a pool bar and terrace. Sun loungers and bath towels are included at the pool and on the beach.

Beach Villa

The Beach Villas (approx. 51 m²) are grouped along the island's coastline. They are generously designed and feature a semi-open bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower, hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, safe, and minibar, as well as a furnished wooden terrace facing the sea (2BV/1BV, same facilities as Type I (EE1/EE2)).

Deluxe Beach Villa

With the same facilities and size as the Beach Villa (D2V/D1V), but with a more modern design. Also available as Type I rooms with identical facilities (HR1/HR2). For an additional charge, these can also be booked on the sunset side (S2V, or as Type I with identical facilities (NI2)).

Jacuzzi Beach Villa

Like the Deluxe Beach Villa and additionally equipped with a Jacuzzi (J2Y).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased potential hazard for young children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfers are possible.
There may be 1–2 stopovers for seaplane transfers.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Malé must be booked in advance. The costs for this must be borne by the guest. Exceptions are changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or long waiting times at immigration (in these cases, our local agency will take care of a potential overnight stay).
