Location

The Baros Maldives, designed in a traditional style, is located on a private luxury island, approximately 16 km from the capital Malé. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel, guests will find dream beaches, turquoise waters, and a house reef for a completely luxurious beach holiday. The island is situated in the middle of a lagoon, protected by an impressive coral reef that surrounds the resort, offering excellent opportunities for snorkeling and diving. The surrounding tropical natural beauty promises peace and relaxation. The international airport (MLE) is approximately 26 km away.

The resort, equipped with 75 exclusive and high-quality villas and suites, offers comfort and luxury at the highest level and places great emphasis on sustainability. Guests are welcomed at the reception and in the lobby area with a welcome drink. Furthermore, the resort impresses with air conditioning, an elevator, a shop, and currency exchange facilities. Exquisite, delicious meals and refreshing drinks are served in the "Lighthouse" and "Lime" restaurants (à la carte), as well as at the "Cayenne Grill." For an evening sundowner, the "Sails" bar or "Lighthouse Lounge" await guests with creative cocktails. Upon request and for an additional charge, the hotel can also arrange a romantic private dinner on the beach. An outdoor pool provides additional refreshment on hot sunny days. The "Serenity Spa" offers maximum relaxation for body and mind with soothing massages and treatments. For a bit more action, the Baros Marine Center offers snorkeling and water sports, a PADI dive center, or a boat trip with dolphin watching or a fantastic sunset.

The compact and comfortable Deluxe Beach Villa is surrounded by golden sandy beaches and a lush jungle canopy. A king-size bed, an open-air bathroom with a rain shower and a freestanding bathtub, and sun loungers complete the villa's amenities. From the veranda, there is direct access to the lagoon. It also features a small flower garden and a cozy reading corner (approx. 89m², D2V).

Water Villa-Speedboot

The Water Villa, furnished in the typical island style, stands on stilts directly over the water and offers an exclusive private retreat. From the wooden deck with a covered daybed, direct access to the lagoon invites you for a dip in the cool water. Additionally, the Water Villa features a cozy sleeping and dining area, TV, tea and coffee making facilities, sun loungers, and a beautiful bathroom with a bathtub and shower (approx. 92m², W2V).

Water Villa priv. Pool-Speedboot

With similar comfort and amenities as the Water Villa, this one also features a private pool with shimmering blue water and impresses with elegant and comfortable furniture inside, some of which is made of teak wood (approx. 126m², WVP).

Baros Villa-Speedboot

The Baros Villa, designed in a traditional style with a lot of wood, impresses with a wooden deck close to the lagoon, tea and coffee making facilities, a spacious veranda with direct beach access, sun loungers on a clearing with its own straw umbrella, a large king-size bed and a seating area, as well as an open-air bathroom with a shower. The Baros Villa also has a flower garden and a reading corner (approx. 103m², V2).

Baros Villa priv. Pool-Speedboot

While otherwise similar in comfort and amenities to the Baros Villa, this villa also offers a private infinity pool and a seating area on the veranda. The villa is also slightly more spacious (approx. 134m², 2IO).

Speedboat: Operation for estimated arrival/departure between 5 AM and 11 PM // Domestic flight: Operation for arrivals/departures between 9:30 AM and 4 PM // Seaplane: Operation for arrivals/departures between 9 AM and 3 PM.
Waiting times of 3 hours or more until onward transfer are possible.
With seaplane transfers, there may be 1-2 intermediate stops.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Malé must be booked in advance. The costs for this are to be borne by the guest. Exceptions are changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or extended waiting times at immigration (in which case our local agency will arrange for an overnight stay).
Seaplane flights and most boat transfers (depending on the island's location), and currently mostly domestic flights, are only operated during daylight hours. Therefore, an overnight stay in Malé may be required.

In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. For an occupancy of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, there may be a total of only 1 or 2 large beds available. Accordingly, it may happen that when 2 adults + 1 or 2 children share a room, one child must sleep in the parents' bed.
