Location

Kurumba Maldives (approx. 500 x 300 m) is located on the southern edge of the North Male Atoll and impresses with a large lagoon with crystal-clear water as well as white, gently sloping beaches. The house reef is located directly at the island. The main island of Male is not far away, and the transfer time by speedboat is only 10 minutes.

Facilities

The hotel was one of the first resorts in the Maldives and therefore boasts many years of experience and a high standard of service. The warm hospitality is very popular with regular guests. The resort has 180 rooms, which are distributed across the entire island. Amenities include a reception area with a front desk and seating, a small boutique, a souvenir shop, a jeweler, and an internet corner. Culinary needs are catered for by 6 à-la-carte restaurants (Middle Eastern, Thai, Indian, Japanese, and international cuisine, as well as fish/seafood) and a buffet/main restaurant with international delicacies. Cool refreshments and delicious cocktails are served at a total of 3 bars and a shisha lounge. In the lush garden area, 2 pools with sunbathing areas as well as a children's pool invite you to relax and linger. Sun loungers, parasols, and bath towels are available free of charge.

Superior Double Room

The approx. 74 m² superior rooms feature a queen-size bed, air conditioning and ceiling fan, safe (included), satellite TV, bathroom with bathtub and shower, bathrobes, hairdryer, outdoor shower, and minibar (for a fee) as well as coffee and tea-making facilities. The rooms have a balcony or terrace (DSU).

Same size as the superior rooms, with a king-size bed and a veranda with a seating area (D2B).

With the same facilities and size as the deluxe bungalows, additionally with direct beach access (B2D)

Garden Pool Villa

With a size of approx. 124 m², these villas are nestled in the tropical garden and additionally feature a living area with a seating area and a second TV (with sliding door) as well as a private pool with sun loungers (2PV).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased safety risk for small children. Therefore, at Schauinsland-Reisen, for safety reasons, a minimum age of 6 years applies for children when booking these room types.

Beach Villa

The approx. 103 m² beach villas offer similar facilities to the garden pool villas, with the addition of an outdoor whirlpool (B2V).

Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
There may be 1–2 stopovers for seaplane transfers.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Male must be booked in advance. The costs for this must be borne by the guest. Exceptions are changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or longer waiting times upon entry (in these cases, our local agency will take care of a potential overnight stay).
Seaplane flights and most boat transfers (depending on the location of the island) as well as currently most domestic flights are only carried out during the day. It may therefore be necessary to stay overnight in Male.
