Location

The resort is located on the northern outer reef of the Lhaviyani Atoll and is nestled in a tropical garden landscape. The island measures approx. 325 m in width and just under 1,800 m in length, which is perfect for relaxing beach walks. Transfers are carried out by seaplane (approx. 40 minutes).

The island, popular with divers, offers a total of 388 rooms spread across the entire island. Facilities include two reception areas, the main "O Reception" and the "Sangu Reception", and a small shopping arcade. Seven different restaurants (such as the "Sangu Restaurant" for ages 15+ and the "O-Restaurant" for ages 12+, depending on the room category), à-la-carte restaurants, a wine cellar, and bars cater to your culinary needs. The popular "Sai Kotari" tea house is located at the end of the jetty. There are a total of three swimming pools spread across the island (in the "O" area for children aged 12 and up, for guests staying in the O-area; in the "Sangu" area for ages 15+ and exclusively for guests of the Water Villa and Villa Private Pool) with sun terraces. Umbrellas, sun loungers with cushions, and beach towels are available free of charge at the swimming pools and on the beach.

Accommodation

Garden Bungalow

The Garden Bungalows, approx. 54 m², are located in the second row from the beach and feature a bathroom with outdoor shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobe, air conditioning, telephone, Bluetooth clock, minibar (partially for a fee), safe, espresso machine, and a terrace. (G2B/G1B/K2G)

Beach Bungalow

With the same amenities as the Garden Bungalows, the Beach Bungalows offer a terrace with beach access. (SBZ/SEB/KB2)

Beach Villa

With the same amenities as the Beach Bungalows, these are slightly more spacious (approx. 57 m² including outdoor area) and located even closer to the beach. Additional features include a semi-open bathroom and a TV. (2BV/1BV/KBZ/VK4)
Spacious villas (approx. 57 m² including the outdoor area) in the O-area can be booked for an extra charge. The minimum age for rooms in the O-area is 12 years. (O2X)

Premium Beach Villa

With similar amenities and size as the Beach Villa, these villas are located on the south side of the island in the "Koamas area". (VE2). Also available as a Sangu Premium Beach Villa for an extra charge.

Jacuzzi Beach Villa

With the same amenities as the Beach Villa, these are slightly more spacious (approx. 78 m² including outdoor area) and feature an additional whirlpool. (2JV/K2V/K4V).
Please note that your booked room has a private Jacuzzi and there is no dedicated lifeguard on duty there. For bookings with children or non-swimmers, you are responsible for supervision yourself.
Jacuzzi Beach Villas in the Sangu (N2J) or O-area (2OZ) can be booked for an extra charge.
The minimum age for rooms in the O-area is 12 years, and 15 years in the Sangu area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for young children. Therefore, for safety reasons, a minimum age of 6 years applies to children for bookings of these room types at Schauinsland-Reisen.

Water Villa

With the same amenities as the Beach Villas (approx. 70 m² including the outdoor area), these rooms are located on stilts over the water, in the lagoon, and feature a private sun deck with direct access to the sea, but no outdoor bathroom. The minimum age for this category is 15 years. (2WV)

Villa Private Pool

With the same amenities as the Jacuzzi Beach Villa (approx. 287 m² including outdoor area), these villas are located in the garden area and have a large private outdoor area with a private pool (approx. 40 m²). (2IO)
Please note that your booked room has a private pool and there is no dedicated lifeguard on duty there. For bookings with children or non-swimmers, you are responsible for supervision yourself.

Premium Beach Bungalow

With the same amenities and size as the Beach Bungalows, these are located even closer to the beach and feature sea views. Additional features include a semi-open bathroom and a TV. (P2B/P1B)

Depending on the room category and location, meals are taken in various main restaurants/bars.

"Bonthi Restaurant" (for stays in Garden Bungalow, Beach Bungalow, or Premium Beach Bungalow), "Koamas Restaurant" (for stays in Beach Villa, Premium Beach Villa, or Jacuzzi Beach Villa), "Sangu Restaurant" (for stays in Water Villa, Villa Private Pool, and Sangu Jacuzzi Beach Villa), and "'O' Restaurant" (for stays in O Beach Villa and O Jacuzzi Beach Villa). Villa Private Pool guests may choose where they wish to dine.
Bars (afternoon tea when booking AI):
"Babuna Bar" (for all room categories), "'O' Bar", and "Sangu Bar" (for stays in all categories except Garden Bungalow, Beach Bungalow, and Premium Beach Bungalow). The respective age restrictions apply.
The use of other main restaurants is free of charge twice a week (by prior reservation) for stays in all categories except the bungalows for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. For stays in Garden Bungalow, Beach Bungalow, and Premium Beach Bungalow, the use of other main restaurants is available for a fee (excluding the Sangu area, where these guests do not have access).
The use of the à-la-carte restaurants is possible for all room types for an additional charge and subject to prior reservation on-site.
Please note that families/groups must book the same meal plan, even if accommodation is in different room categories.

Breakfast from approx. 8:00–10:30 a.m., lunch from approx. 1:00–2:30 p.m., and dinner from approx. 7:00–9:30 p.m. in the assigned restaurants. Afternoon tea and snacks from approx. 3:00–6:00 p.m. in the respective bars. Selected alcoholic drinks (beer, house wine, gin, vodka, rum, whiskey, tequila, daily selection of cocktails and mocktails) and non-alcoholic drinks (water, soft drinks, canned juices, coffee, tea) by the glass from approx. 9:00 a.m.–1:30 a.m. in the respective open bars. Use of the minibar – water, soft drinks, juices, wine, beer, coffee, tea, and snacks (daily replenishment). Additionally, one bottle of sparkling wine upon arrival and 20% discount on selected spa treatments.
Sports included: 1x per person/stay 30-minute snorkeling introduction, golf and windsurfing introduction, windsurf equipment (only for experienced windsurfers), canoe (daily for one hour), 1x per person/stay one sunset cruise during the stay.

Speedboat: Expected operation for arrivals/departures from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.//Domestic (internal flight): Expected operation for arrivals/departures from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.//Seaplane: Expected operation for arrivals/departures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
With seaplane transfers, there may be 1–2 stopovers.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Malé must be booked in advance. Costs for this must be borne by the guest. Exceptions include changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or long waiting times at immigration (in such cases, our local agency will take care of a possible overnight stay).
The baggage allowance for seaplanes is 20 kg + 5 kg hand luggage per person. Excess baggage must be paid for on-site (approx. 5 USD per kg). Excess baggage is usually delivered later by boat.
