Location

The private island of JA Manafaru (800m x 600m), surrounded by lush vegetation, is located in the north of the Maldives in the Haa Alifu Atoll. The house reef is only approx. 70 m from the island. The destination airport Male is approx. 320 km away and can be reached in approx. 50 minutes by domestic flight to Hoarafushi or Hanimaadhoo, followed by a speedboat ride of approx. 10 minutes (Hoarafushi) or 40 minutes (Hanimaadhoo). Seaplane transfer (approx. 70 minutes) can be booked on request for an additional charge.

Facilities

The luxurious resort has a total of 84 villas. In addition to the reception area, the complex offers a boutique, a jeweler, and a hairdresser. Four restaurants cater to your culinary needs. The overwater fusion restaurant "White Orchid" spoils you with modern Asian cuisine, and at the "Ocean Grill" restaurant, you can enjoy grilled specialties. The open main restaurant "Kakuni" offers a varied buffet, and "Andiamo Bistro" by the pool serves Italian delicacies. Further facilities include the "Infinity Bar," the wine cellar "The Cellar," which also offers special dinners, the "Horizon Lounge," and a swimming pool. Sun loungers, beach towels, and parasols are provided free of charge.

Beach Villa Pool

The Beach Villas with Pool (approx. 200 m²) are located directly on the beach and feature a combined living and sleeping area, an open bathroom with a freestanding bathtub, separate shower, separate outdoor shower, and toilet, hairdryer, bathrobe/slippers, TV, CD/DVD player, telephone, air conditioning, ceiling fan, minibar (for a fee), wine fridge, tea/coffee maker, Nespresso machine, safe, terrace, and beach pavilion with sun loungers, as well as a private garden with its own pool (located inland), sun loungers, and a pavilion with a daybed.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased risk to small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for bookings of these room types for children.

Sunrise Water Villa Pool

The Water Villas (approx. 135 m²) are built on stilts over the sea and feature an enclosed bathroom with a whirlpool bathtub (no outdoor shower), a glass floor in the living area, and a wooden deck outdoors with sun loungers, a traditional Maldivian swing, a private infinity pool, and direct access to the sea.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased risk to small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for bookings of these room types for children.

There are specially marked dishes in the restaurants; the restaurant "The Cellar" is excluded from the "Dine-Around". Selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (e.g., water, soft drinks, coffee, beer, house wine, selected spirits) are included from 11 am to 11 pm. Minibar (selected drinks, one refill per day) and unlimited use of non-motorized water sports.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served buffet-style. A selection of non-alcoholic beverages will be served during bar opening hours (tea/coffee, soft drinks, selection of juices and smoothies, and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages including mocktails).

Sports included

Fitness center, tennis, table tennis, billiards, yoga (by prior appointment), beach volleyball, snorkeling equipment, and windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding, pedal boating, kayaking, and catamaran sailing (upon presentation of a sailing license; one hour per day of non-motorized water sports per villa is included).

PADI dive center, deep-sea fishing, sailing, motorized water sports.

Children's program

"Cool Zone Kids Club" for children aged 3-12 and the "Chill Zone Teens Club" for children aged 8-16 (there is no supervision/parents are responsible for their children). There is a separate children's pool, a play area, a video room, and a relaxation room.

Speedboat: Operates for estimated arrivals/departures from 5 am to 11 pm // Domestic flight: Operates for arrivals/departures from approximately 9:30 am to 4 pm // Seaplane: Operates for arrivals/departures from approximately 9 am to 3 pm.
Waiting times of 3 hours or more until onward transfer are possible.
Seaplane flights may include 1-2 intermediate landings.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Malé must be booked in advance. The costs for this are to be borne by the guest. Exceptions are changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or longer immigration waiting times (in which case our local agency will arrange for any necessary overnight stay).

In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. For an occupancy of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, there may be only 1 or 2 large beds available in total.
