Location

The private island of JA Manafaru (800m x 600m), surrounded by lush vegetation, is located in the north of the Maldives in the Haa Alifu Atoll. The house reef is only approx. 70 m away from the island. The destination airport Male is approx. 320 km away and can be reached in approx. 50 minutes by domestic flight to Hoarafushi or Hanimaadhoo and subsequently in approx. 10 minutes (Hoarafushi) or 40 minutes (Hanimaadhoo) by speedboat. Transfer by seaplane (approx. 70 minutes) can be booked upon request for an extra charge.

Facilities

The luxurious resort features a total of 84 villas. In addition to the reception area, the complex has a boutique, a jeweler, and a hairdresser. Four restaurants cater to your culinary needs. The "White Orchid" fusion restaurant, built over the water, spoils you with modern Asian cuisine, and you can enjoy grill specialties at the "Ocean Grill" restaurant. Varied buffets await you in the open-air main restaurant "Kakuni", and Italian delicacies are available at the "Andiamo Bistro" by the pool. Other resort facilities include the "Infinity Bar", "The Cellar" wine cellar (which also offers special dinners), the "Horizon Lounge", and a swimming pool. Sun loungers, pool towels, and parasols are provided free of charge.

Beach Villa Pool

The Beach Villas with pool (approx. 200 m²) are located directly on the beach and feature a combined living and sleeping area, an open-plan bathroom with a freestanding bathtub, separate shower, separate outdoor shower and WC, hairdryer, bathrobe/slippers, TV, CD/DVD player, telephone, air conditioning, ceiling fan, minibar (for a fee), wine fridge, tea-making facilities, Nespresso machine, safe, terrace, and a pavilion on the beach with sun loungers as well as a private garden with its own pool (facing the interior of the island), sun loungers, and a pavilion with a daybed (VPZ).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased potential danger for small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen applies a minimum age of 6 years for children for bookings of these room types.

Sunrise Water Villa Pool

The Water Villas (approx. 135 m²) are built on stilts over the ocean and feature an enclosed bathroom with a whirlpool tub without an outdoor shower, a glass floor panel in the living area, and an outdoor wooden deck with sun loungers, a traditional Maldivian swing, a private infinity pool, and direct access to the sea (2OR).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased potential danger for small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen applies a minimum age of 6 years for children for bookings of these room types.

Deluxe Beach Villa Pool

The spacious villas (approx. 400 m²) are located directly on the beach, surrounded by tropical vegetation, and feature a separate bedroom with a king-size bed and a living area. Amenities include a bathroom with a freestanding bathtub, air conditioning, minibar, coffee/tea-making facilities, safe, and Wi-Fi. The private garden area includes a furnished terrace, sun deck, and a private family pool. A private beach cabana and personal butler service round off the amenities. (V2H)

Sunset Pool Water Villa

The villas (approx. 135 m²) are situated on stilts over the water and offer a magnificent view of the sunset. They feature a king-size bed, bathroom with a bathtub, air conditioning, minibar, coffee/tea-making facilities, safe, Wi-Fi, and a furnished sun terrace with a private infinity pool as well as direct access to the sea. A glass floor element allows for a view of the underwater world. Personal butler service included. (W2Z)

There are specially marked dishes in the restaurants; the "The Cellar" restaurant is excluded from the "Dine-Around". Selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (e.g., water, soft drinks, coffee, beer, house wine, selected spirits) are included from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., minibar (selected drinks, one refill per day), and unlimited use of non-motorized water sports.

Sports included

Fitness center, tennis, table tennis, billiards, yoga (by prior arrangement), beach volleyball, snorkeling equipment, and windsurfing, stand-up paddling, pedal boat, kayak, and catamaran sailing (upon presentation of a sailing license; one hour of non-motorized water sports per day and villa included).

PADI diving school, deep-sea fishing, sailing, motorized water sports.

Children's program

"Cool Zone Kids Club" for children aged 3-12 years and the "Chill Zone Teens Club" for children aged 8-16 years (there is no supervision/parents watch over their children). There is a separate children's pool, a play area, a video room, and a relaxation room.

Waiting times of 3 hours or more until the onward transfer are possible.

Seaplane flights and most boat transfers (depending on the location of the island) as well as currently also domestic flights are only carried out during the day. It may therefore be necessary to have an overnight stay in Male.

In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. With an occupancy of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, it may be the case that only 1 or 2 large beds are available in total. Accordingly, it may happen that with 2 adults + 1 or 2 children in one room, one child must sleep in the parents' bed. The baggage allowance for seaplanes is 20 kg + 3 kg of hand luggage per person. Excess baggage must be paid for on-site (approx. 5 USD per kg). Excess baggage is generally delivered by boat.
