1st Day: Arrival in Muscat
Arrival at Muscat International Airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Muscat.
2nd Day: Muscat
During a guided tour, participants will discover the cultural highlights of the Omani capital. In addition to significant landmarks, the program includes a visit to the traditional Mutrah district with its waterfront promenade and lively souk. Overnight stay in Muscat.
3rd Day: Wadi Dayqah – Wakan
Today the journey leads into the charming landscapes of the Omani hinterland. The Wadi Dayqah reservoir impresses with its backdrop set between rugged mountains, while the mountain village of Wakan, with its traditional terraced gardens and impressive views, offers an authentic insight into rural Oman. Overnight stay in Muscat.
4th Day: Muscat – Bimmah Sinkhole – Wadi Shab/Wadi Tiwi – Sur
The route follows the coastal road to the Bimmah Sinkhole, a natural limestone pool with crystal-clear water. Afterwards, the program includes Wadi Shab and Wadi Tiwi with their green oasis landscapes and spectacular rock formations. After the included lunch, proceed to Sur. Overnight stay in Sur.
5th Day: Sur – Wadi Bani Khalid – Wahiba Sands
The journey first leads to Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman's most beautiful wadis. Turquoise natural pools and lush vegetation create a delightful contrast to the surrounding mountain landscape. In the afternoon, continue to the Wahiba Sands with their vast dune landscapes. Dinner and overnight stay at a desert camp.
6th Day: Wahiba Sands – Nizwa
The day begins with a relaxing morning in the desert, offering the opportunity to enjoy the special atmosphere of the Wahiba Sands once more. Afterwards, proceed to Nizwa, the former capital of Oman. Overnight stay in Nizwa.
7th Day: Nizwa – Bahla – Jabreen
Today, the cultural highlights of the Omani hinterland take center stage. In Nizwa, the historic old town and the traditional fortress region will be explored. Subsequently, visits to Bahla and Jabreen lead to some of the country's most significant historical structures. Lunch included. Overnight stay in Nizwa.
8th Day: Al Hamra – Misfat Al Abriyeen – Jabal Shams
The route first leads to Al Hamra, one of the oldest settlements in Oman. Afterwards, the picturesque mountain village of Misfat Al Abriyeen, with its traditional mud houses and terraced gardens, is visited. Continue to Jabal Shams, the highest mountain in the country. Dinner and overnight stay at Jabal Shams.
9th Day: Jabal Shams
Spectacular views await participants along the viewpoints of the so-called "Grand Canyon of Oman". During a guided easy hike, the impressive gorges and mountain landscapes can be experienced particularly intensely. Overnight stay at Jabal Shams.
10th Day: Jabal Shams – Omani Hinterland – Muscat
After breakfast, return journey through the impressive landscapes of the Omani mountains to Muscat. In the evening, a joint farewell dinner. Overnight stay in Muscat.
11th Day: Departure from Muscat
Transfer to Muscat International Airport and individual return journey.

In the Sultanate of Oman, most rooms are equipped with one king-size bed or two queen-size or 2 single beds. For an occupancy of 2 adults + 1 child, accommodation is provided with 1 king-size bed and, subject to availability, an extra bed/sofa bed (sometimes for a fee). For 2 adults and 2 children, accommodation is provided with 2 queen-size beds or 1 king-size bed and 1 or 2 extra/sofa beds (depending on availability and room size, and sometimes for a fee).

Local customs and etiquette:
Omanis are known for their warmth and hospitality. Visitors should respect local customs by dressing conservatively, especially at religious sites. Public displays of affection are generally avoided, and loud or disruptive behavior is discouraged.
Photography and drones:
Always ask for permission before taking photos of people. Avoid taking photos of government buildings and military sites. Flying drones without a license is illegal.
Alcohol and e-cigarettes:
Alcohol can be purchased and consumed in licensed places such as hotels and restaurants; the legal minimum age for alcohol consumption is 21 years. It is also possible for visitors to shop at the airport duty-free. Public drunkenness is prohibited. E-cigarettes are illegal in Oman.
