Location

The hotel is situated on a 1 km long, private sandy beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Oman, nestled between the Hajar Mountains and the Gulf of Oman.
It is just a short drive from the city center and attractions such as the Mutrah Souk, Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, and the National Museum of Oman. It offers spectacular views of the Gulf of Oman and is surrounded by lush gardens.

The Deluxe Double Rooms, Resort View (DPB/DPE) have the same amenities as the Deluxe Double Rooms, Mountain View, but with a view of the beautiful garden and pool area.

Deluxe Double Room, Lagoon Access

The Deluxe Double Rooms, Lagoon Access (LA2/LA1) have the same amenities as the Deluxe Double Rooms, Mountain View, but with a terrace and direct access to the pools.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased risk for small children.
Therefore, for bookings of these room types, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children due to safety reasons.

Destination information

Local Customs and Etiquette:
Omanis are known for their warmth and hospitality. Visitors should respect local customs by dressing conservatively, especially at religious sites. Public displays of affection are generally avoided, and loud or disruptive behavior is discouraged.
Photography and Drones:
Always ask for permission before photographing people. Avoid taking pictures of government buildings and military installations. Flying drones without a license is illegal.
Alcohol and E-cigarettes:
Alcohol can be purchased and consumed at licensed venues such as hotels and restaurants, with the legal minimum drinking age being 21. Visitors may also purchase at the airport duty-free. Public intoxication is prohibited. E-cigarettes are illegal in Oman.

Seasonal information

During the holy month of Ramadan, there may be restrictions in hotel operations. Additionally, hotels use this time for maintenance and minor renovations, which may lead to disruptions such as pool closures, etc. Furthermore, some restaurants may be closed as meals are not served everywhere.
The hotel's entertainment program will be cancelled or restricted.
During Ramadan, eating, drinking, and smoking in public places are not permitted.

Entry Requirements

German citizens can enter Oman visa-free for up to 14 days. For entry into Oman, a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry is required, as well as a return ticket, confirmed hotel reservation, health insurance, and sufficient financial means for the stay.
