Location

The hotel is located on a 1 km long private sandy beach, which is one of the most beautiful beaches in Oman, nestled between the Hajar Mountains and the Gulf of Oman.
It is only a short drive from the city center and attractions such as the Mutrah Souq, the Sultan Qaboos Mosque, and the National Museum of Oman. It offers a spectacular view of the Gulf of Oman and is surrounded by lush gardens.
Muscat International Airport (MCT) is approximately 35 km away.

The Deluxe Resort View Double Rooms (DPB/DPE) have the same facilities as the Deluxe Mountain View Double Rooms, but with a view of the magnificent garden area and pool area.

Deluxe Lagoon Access Double Room

The Deluxe Lagoon Access Double Rooms (LA2/LA1) have the same facilities as the Deluxe Mountain View Double Rooms, but with a terrace and direct access to the pools.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased potential hazard for small children.
Therefore, for security reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children for bookings of these room types.

Destination information

Local customs and etiquette:
The Omanis are known for their warmth and hospitality. Visitors should respect local customs by dressing conservatively, especially at religious sites. Public displays of affection are generally avoided, and loud or disruptive behavior is discouraged.
Photography and drones:
Always ask for permission before taking photos of people. Avoid taking photos of government buildings and military sites. Flying drones without a license is illegal.
Alcohol and e-cigarettes:
Alcohol can be purchased and consumed in licensed locations such as hotels and restaurants, with the legal minimum age for alcohol consumption being 21. It is also possible for visitors to shop at the airport duty-free. Public intoxication is prohibited. E-cigarettes are illegal in Oman.

Seasonal information

During the fasting month of Ramadan, there may be restrictions on hotel operations. Hotels also use this time for maintenance and minor renovation work, during which disruptions such as pool closures, etc., may occur. Furthermore, some restaurants may be closed, as meals are not served everywhere.
The entertainment program at the hotel may be canceled or restricted.
During Ramadan, eating, drinking, and smoking in public places is prohibited.

Entry requirements

German citizens can enter Oman visa-free for up to 14 days. To enter Oman, a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry is required, as well as a return flight ticket, a confirmed hotel reservation, health insurance, and sufficient financial means for the stay.
