Location

The Welcome Meridiana hotel is located in an approximately 11-hectare palm grove, directly on a fine sandy beach. The island capital, Houmt Souk, is approx. 22 km away, Midoun is approx. 6 km away, and it is approx. 32 km to the airport.

Facilities

Built in a traditional local style, the complex features 457 rooms and consists of a main building and several annexes, the "Menzels," a reception area with a lobby bar, main restaurant, several themed restaurants such as the "Tunisian" or the "Sidi-Bou Said Restaurant" on the hotel's roof terrace, various bars, two Moorish cafés, an amphitheater (June 15–Sept. 15), an indoor pool (heated, Nov. 1–April 30), and a thalassotherapy center. The outdoor area includes a large swimming pool with a separate children's pool including a slide and sun terrace, as well as a pool/snack bar and a beach bar (open during the summer season). Sun loungers, cushions, and umbrellas are included at the pool and beach; pool towels are available for a fee.

Double room

The approximately 24 m² oriental-style rooms feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning (June 15–Sept. 15)/heating (Dec. 15–Feb. 28), rental safe, mini-fridge (not stocked, for a fee), telephone, satellite TV, and a balcony or terrace (D/D1K). Some of the rooms were renovated in 2025, with more to follow.
For an additional charge, these can also be booked with pool view (DP/D1P), sea view (DM/D1M), and for single occupancy (DE/DEP/DEM).

Double room Superior

With the same features as the double rooms, these are more spacious (approx. 35 m²) and have a more modern design. The bathroom is more elaborately furnished (DSU).
For an additional charge, these can also be booked with a sea view (DMU).

Same features as the double room, limited availability, special price (SSZ).

Family room

Same features as the double room, but more spacious (approx. 27 m²) and with sleeping arrangements for a 3rd or 4th person (DF2). The two sleeping areas are visually separated.
Also bookable with pool view for an additional charge (FP2).

Family room Type B

This category consists of two double rooms and is therefore approximately 57 m² in total. The two double rooms are separated by a connecting door (2FB). Some of the rooms were renovated in 2025, with more to follow.

Meals served buffet-style. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, early-bird and late-riser breakfast, snacks, coffee break, local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at the respective open bar from 9 a.m. to midnight, Moorish café open from 4 p.m. to midnight.
1x per stay dinner in the Tunisian restaurant (reservation required).
Beach Restaurant + Lunch between 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. starting June 1 (subject to availability).

All Inclusive plus (only bookable in summer)

The Sidi-Bou-Said Restaurant and the Hija Mija Beach Restaurant (open July 1–Aug. 31) are not included in AI/AI+.
