Location

The Paradise Beach Resort is located along the northeast coast, between Chwaka and Uroa, near a village called Marumbi. The capital, Stone Town, and the international airport are only about 35 km away.

Facilities

The Paradise Beach Resort is a 4-star resort with 99 rooms, idyllically situated on the east coast of Zanzibar. It offers an impressive variety of rooms of different sizes suitable for all travelers, especially families and group travelers. The resort features a jetty bar that leads from the white sandy beach out over the Indian Ocean. There is an extensive range of on-site facilities as well as access to tours around the island, making it the perfect beach holiday. Furthermore, the hotel has a 24-hour reception (multilingual), 4 bars (Pumzika Bar, Coconut Bar, Jetty Bar, Pool Bar), 3 restaurants (Makuti main restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Bataar (Mongolian wok restaurant for lunch and dinner), and Namaste with Indian specialties for dinner), as well as 3 pools.

These beautiful double rooms (25m² incl. bathroom) feature a WC/bathroom, king-size bed, air conditioning, safe box, mini-fridge (on request), hairdryer, ceiling fan, mosquito net, kettle, coffee/tea set, and filtered water. The rooms are located on the 1st and 2nd floor.

Suite

With otherwise the same amenities as the double rooms, these are slightly larger (51m² incl. bathroom) and additionally offer a sofa that can be converted into an extra bed, a seating area, complimentary toiletries, and sea and pool views. Furthermore, another extra bed can be added. Maximum occupancy 4 people. The rooms are located on the 1st floor.

We would like to inform you that all airlines from Tanzania are currently on the EU's so-called ‘blacklist’. For this reason, they are currently not authorised to operate long-haul flights to the EU. We are therefore not currently using any of these airlines for our long-haul flights to the EU.
The lack of authorisation is not due to specific safety problems with the individual airlines, but rather to the inspection and safety procedures of the Tanzanian aviation authority, which do not currently meet the safety requirements of the EU.
However, the airlines that we use for domestic flights (for example, for transfer flights from Zanzibar to mainland Tanzania) are subject to the international safety assessment ISSA of the IATA (International Air Transport Association) or a comparable safety assessment. These assessments correspond to the globally recognised safety standards of the aviation industry.
