Location

The unique "Le Mersenne Zanzibar" is located on the picturesque Michamwi Peninsula, directly on a pristine beach. Another dream beach, "Paje Beach," is located 12 km away, and the "Michamvi Sandbank" is 1 km away. The transfer to the hotel from the international airport takes approximately 1.5 hours depending on traffic. The hotel is about an 80-minute drive from Stone Town, the oldest part of Zanzibar City.

The luxury hotel was newly opened in December 2022 and comprises 61 elegant rooms with a modern design incorporating traditional and African craftsmanship. Guests can enjoy international and culinary delights in the "La Mer" restaurant right by the sea, experiencing local culture and flavors. The first-class hospitality ensures a relaxed and enjoyable holiday. The outdoor area features a swimming pool, a bar, and another à la carte restaurant (Roof-top BBQ, available for lunch and dinner at a fee). There is also a lobby bar and a fitness room.

The spacious rooms (approx. 75 sqm) with elegant African design feature a king-size bed with luxurious linens, free Wi-Fi, a modern, semi-open bathroom with a bathtub (in the room) and a separate shower, high-quality toiletries, a hairdryer, a mini-fridge, a living/sitting area, a complimentary coffee and tea maker, a safe, air conditioning, and a furnished balcony with a garden view. The approx. 130 sqm villas feature 2 bedrooms, each with a king-size bed, 2 bathrooms, sea view, and a balcony. Available from January 8, 2025.
