Location

The "Riu Palace Swahili" hotel is located at the northern tip of Unguja, the main island of the Zanzibar archipelago. It is about a one-hour drive from the airport and the island capital, Zanzibar City, whose center is known as Stone Town. The hotel is situated next to the Riu Jambo in an excellent location directly on Nungwi Beach, one of the island's most beautiful beaches. An ATM, a pharmacy, the hospital, and further shopping facilities are nearby.

Facilities

The Adults Only hotel, newly opening in early 2026, features 505 rooms, 2 infinity pools, 1 infinity pool with swim-up bar, sun loungers, beach towels, and umbrellas by the pool, as well as a sun terrace. For dining, guests can choose from the main restaurant with a terrace, the "Krystal" restaurant, an Italian restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, a steakhouse, and the "Pepe's Food" grill. The hotel offers a lounge bar, a lobby bar with a terrace, a plaza bar with a stage and terrace, the "Capuchino" patisserie, and a pool bar. Additionally, there is a conference room and a boutique. Guests in the "Elite Club by RIU" room categories also benefit from exclusive services.

Junior Suite (JS2/JS1)

The Junior Suites feature 1 king-size bed (180 x 200 cm) or 2 beds (110 x 200 cm) and a seating area with a sofa. The Swim-up Junior Suite sea view Elite also features a king-size bed (180 x 200 cm), a seating area with a sofa, a toilet with a bidet shower, and additionally a terrace with its own small pool and loungers, as well as a sea view.
