Location

The "Riu Palace Swahili" hotel is located at the northern tip of Unguja, the main island of the Zanzibar archipelago. It is about an hour's drive from the airport and the island's capital, Zanzibar City, whose center is known as Stone Town. The hotel is situated next to the Riu Jambo in an excellent location directly on Nungwi Beach, one of the island's most beautiful beaches. An ATM, a pharmacy, the hospital, and other shopping facilities are located nearby.

The adults-only hotel, opening in early 2026, features 505 rooms, 2 infinity pools, 1 infinity pool with a swim-up bar, sun loungers, beach towels, and umbrellas by the pool, as well as a sun terrace. For dining, guests can choose from the main restaurant with a terrace, the "Krystal" restaurant, an Italian restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, a steakhouse, and the "Pepe's Food" grill. The hotel offers a lounge bar, a lobby bar with a terrace, a plaza bar with a stage and terrace, the "Capuchino" patisserie, and a pool bar. Additionally, there is a conference room and a boutique. Guests in the "Elite Club by RIU" room categories have access to exclusive services.
