Location

The exclusive 5-star "Bawe Island Resort" from the luxurious "Cocoon Collection" hotel chain is located on the approximately 30-hectare island of the same name. After arriving at Zanzibar International Airport, you will be driven by shuttle for approximately 20 minutes to the capital, Stone Town. From there, a speedboat takes you to Bawe Island in about 15 minutes. The speedboat transfer is organized by the hotel and is free for all guests for arrival and departure with a minimum stay of 3 days (under 3 days, 500 USD per person).

The resort consists of 70 exclusive villas with private pools and butler service amidst lush and wild nature. The island resort offers maximum privacy and exclusivity while being in close proximity to the capital, allowing for various excursions to be booked at any time. The luxury hotel offers a unique "Dine-Around" concept with 4 à la carte restaurants: "The Sand" main restaurant for breakfast and dinner, "Rising Sun" Asian Teppanyaki restaurant, "Sinfonia" with Italian cuisine, and "The Beach Club" for adults only from 10 am to 6 pm, as well as a bar "The View Bar" with occasional live music and DJ performances.

Accommodation

Sunrise Villa (SV2)

Each accommodation offers absolute privacy and total relaxation with its own pool and a large terrace with seating and sea view. Decorated in an African and modern style, each accommodation offers the following amenities: air conditioning, fan, bathroom by Villeroy & Boch with separate shower, Dyson Supersonic hairdryer, relaxation area, telephone, minibar & spirits, ice cube machine, safe (electronic code), TV, room service, Nespresso coffee machine, free Wi-Fi connection, Frette bed linen and towels, and Etro amenities. The approximately 200 sqm Sunrise Villas are located on the east side of the island, from where you can enjoy wonderful sunrises. Each room features a king-size canopy bed, a large living area with two comfortable armchairs, and a daybed that can easily be converted into a comfortable extra bed.

Sunset Suite (SUN)

The approximately 240 sqm Sunset Suites have the same amenities as the Sunrise Villas, but are located on the west side of the island, from where you can admire fantastic sunsets. Each room features a king-size canopy bed, a large sunken living area, and the possibility to accommodate two extra beds (sofa beds). Sunset Suites are the perfect accommodation for couples and small families.

Lagoon Suite with Pool (L2F)

The approximately 170 sqm Lagoon Suites have the same features as the Sunrise Villas, in addition, they are spectacular overwater villas built over a beautiful crystal lagoon and are characterized by a refined and contemporary interior design. They are located on the east side of the island and feature a large terrace with a swimming pool and a private butler.

Zanzibar Villa (V12)

The approximately 310 sqm Zanzibar Villas have the same features as the Sunrise Villas, in addition, they are located directly on the beach with direct beach access. The entrance to the villa overlooks a large open-air living room with a lounge area and sofas by Etro, and further amenities include 2 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a corner bar, and a kitchen. The living room opens onto a large veranda with a dining table, sofas, and comfortable loungers, where you can cool off with a dip in the private swimming pool or enjoy the seclusion of a private garden.

Sultan Palace (S2U)

The approximately 500 sqm Sultan Palace is unique and has the same features as the Sunrise Villas. Additionally, it is spread over 2 levels. The ground floor features two bedrooms with a large living room and kitchen area. The first floor houses the "Sultan" bedroom with a walk-in closet and a large bathroom. This villa can accommodate up to 9 people.
