Location

The exclusive 5-star "Bawe Island Resort" from the luxurious "Cocoon Collection" hotel chain is located on the approximately 30-hectare island of the same name. After arriving at Zanzibar International Airport, you will be taken by shuttle for about 20 minutes to the capital, Stone Town. From there, a speedboat takes you to Bawe Island in approximately 15 minutes. The speedboat transfer is organized by the hotel and is free for all guests booking a package tour or hotel-only stay for arrival and departure for stays of 3 days or more (under 3 days, 500 USD p.p., for 1-4 persons for round trip).

The island resort offers maximum privacy and exclusivity while being in close proximity to the capital, allowing for various excursions to be booked at any time. The luxury hotel offers a unique "Dine-Around" concept with 4 à la carte restaurants: "The Sand" main restaurant for breakfast and dinner, "Rising Sun" Asian Teppanyaki restaurant, "Sinfonia" with Italian cuisine, and "The Beach Club" adults-only from 10 am-6 pm, as well as a bar "The View Bar" with occasional live music and DJ sets.

Sunrise Villa (SV2)

Each accommodation offers absolute privacy and total relaxation with a private pool and a large terrace with seating and sea views. Decorated in an African and modern style, each accommodation offers the following amenities: air conditioning, fan, bathroom by Villeroy & Boch with separate shower, Dyson Supersonic hairdryer, relaxation area, telephone, minibar & spirits, ice machine, electronic code safe, TV, room service, Nespresso coffee machine, free Wi-Fi, Frette bed linen and towels, and Etro amenities. The approximately 200 sqm Sunrise Villas are located on the east side of the island, offering wonderful sunrises. Sunset Suite (SUN)

The approximately 240 sqm Sunset Suites have the same amenities as the Sunrise Villas but are located on the west side of the island, offering breathtaking sunsets. Each suite features a king-size four-poster bed, a large sunken living area, and the option to accommodate two additional beds (sofa beds). Sunset Suites are the perfect accommodation for couples and small families.

Lagoon Suite with Pool (L2F)

The approximately 170 sqm Lagoon Suites feature the same amenities as the Sunrise Villas. Additionally, they are spectacular overwater villas built above a beautiful crystal lagoon, characterized by a refined and contemporary interior design. Located on the east side of the island, they offer a large terrace with a swimming pool and a private butler.

Zanzibar Villa (V12)

The approximately 310 sqm Zanzibar Villas feature the same amenities as the Sunrise Villas, with the addition of being located directly on the beach with direct beach access. The villa entrance faces a large open-air living room with a lounge area and Etro sofas. Further amenities include 2 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a corner bar, and a kitchen. The living room adjoins a large veranda with a dining table, sofas, and comfortable loungers, where you can cool off with a dip in the private swimming pool or enjoy the seclusion of a private garden.

Sultan Palace (S2U)

The approximately 500 sqm Sultan Palace is unique and features the same amenities as the Sunrise Villas. It is spread over 2 levels. The ground floor comprises two bedrooms with a large living room and a kitchen area. The first floor features the "Sultan" bedroom with a walk-in closet and a large bathroom. This villa can accommodate up to 9 people.
