Location

The Indian Ocean Lodge is located in the west of the island directly on the long, white sandy beach of "Grand Anse" and is the ideal starting point for an authentic Seychelles experience. The small town center can be reached in approx. 5 minutes on foot. The transfer takes about 20 minutes by car from the airport on Mahé to the port, from there by ferry to the island of Praslin (approx. 75 minutes), and then about 15 minutes by car from the port to the hotel.

The boutique hotel features 32 guest rooms spread across several annexes. Further amenities of the lodge, which was renovated in 2024, include a reception with a lounge, a boutique, a bar, and a restaurant offering regional and international specialties. In the tropical garden area, 2 swimming pools with sun terraces invite you to relax and linger. Sun loungers and parasols are available free of charge by the pool.

The modern rooms (approx. 45m²) feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, ceiling fan, coffee/tea maker (Nespresso machine), mini-fridge, cable TV, seating area, safe, telephone, and a balcony or terrace with a garden view.

At high tide, sunbathing and swimming opportunities on the hotel beach are limited. Seaweed may wash ashore during the months of May to October.

Zusatzhinweis

Please note that an environmental sustainability fee is charged on site. This fee is to be paid in cash directly to the hotel per person per night and is currently between €1.80 and €7.20 (depending on the size of the hotel). Children under 13 are exempt from this regulation.
For your international flights to/from Mahé, please note the ferry times for hotel bookings on the neighboring islands (e.g., Praslin/La Digue). If arriving after 1 p.m. or departing on a flight before 12 p.m., a transfer to/from Praslin/La Digue cannot be guaranteed. In the event of arrival/departure outside the aforementioned times due to flight delays, bad weather, or long waiting times at customs, our local agency will arrange an overnight stay for you on Mahé. Should your booked flight times fall outside the mentioned time frames, please book an overnight stay on Mahé through your travel agency.
