Location

The Indian Ocean Lodge is located in the west of the island directly on the long, white sandy beach of "Grand Anse" and is the ideal starting point for an authentic Seychelles experience. The small town center can be reached in approx. 5 minutes on foot. The transfer from Mahé airport takes approx. 20 minutes by car to the harbor, from there by ferry to the island of Praslin (approx. 75 minutes) and then approx. 15 minutes by car from the harbor to the hotel.

The boutique hotel has 32 guest rooms spread across several outbuildings. Further facilities of the lodge, renovated in 2024, include a reception with a lounge, a boutique, a bar, and a restaurant offering regional and international specialties. In the tropical garden area, 2 swimming pools with sun terraces invite you to relax and linger. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge by the pool.

Note

During high tide, the sunbathing and swimming possibilities at the hotel beach are limited. In the months of May to October, seaweed may be washed ashore.
Please note that an environmental sustainability fee is charged locally. This fee is payable in cash directly to the hotel per person per night and currently ranges between €1.80 and €7.20 (depending on the size of the hotel). Children under 13 years of age are exempt from this regulation.
For your international round-trip flight to/from Mahé, please observe the ferry times for hotel bookings on the neighboring islands (e.g., Praslin/La Digue). If you arrive after 1 PM or depart before 12 PM, a transfer to/from Praslin/La Digue cannot be guaranteed. In case of arrival/departure outside the above-mentioned times due to flight delays, bad weather, or long waiting times for immigration, our local agency will arrange an overnight stay in Mahé for you. If your booked flight times fall outside the above-mentioned timeframes, please book an overnight stay in Mahé through your travel agency.
