Location

The Indian Ocean Lodge is located in the west of the island directly on the long, white sandy beach of "Grand Anse" and is the ideal starting point for an authentic Seychelles experience. The small town center can be reached in approx. 5 minutes on foot. The transfer from Mahé airport takes approx. 20 minutes to the port, from there by ferry to Praslin island (approx. 75 minutes) and then a further approx. 15 minutes drive from the port to the hotel.

The boutique hotel has 32 guest rooms spread across several outbuildings. The lodge, which was renovated in 2024, also includes a reception area with a lounge, a boutique, a bar and a restaurant offering regional and international specialties. In the tropical garden area, 2 swimming pools with sun terraces invite you to relax and unwind. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge by the pool.

During high tide, the options for sunbathing and swimming at the hotel beach are limited. In the months of May to October, seaweed may wash ashore.

Please note that an eco-sustainability fee is charged locally. This fee is payable per person per night in cash directly to the hotel and currently ranges from €1.80 to €7.20 (depending on the size of the hotel). Children under 13 years of age are exempt from this regulation.
For your international inbound and outbound flights to/from Mahé, please observe the ferry times for hotel bookings on the neighboring islands (e.g., Praslin/La Digue). If you arrive after 1 PM or depart before 12 PM, a transfer to/from Praslin/La Digue cannot be guaranteed. In case of arrival/departure outside the above-mentioned times due to flight delays, bad weather, or extended waiting times for immigration, our local agency will arrange an overnight stay in Mahé for you. If your booked flight times fall outside the above-mentioned periods, please book an overnight stay in Mahé through your travel agency.
