Location

The Maritim Resort & Spa Mauritius is located on the island’s sunniest northwest coast, between the capital Port Louis and the town of Grand Baie, known for its vibrant nightlife. The hotel is decorated in a style typical of the country. It is situated on a 25-hectare historic estate in Balaclava, surrounded by tropical gardens, waterfalls, and 18th-century ruins. The resort overlooks Turtle Bay, the island’s first marine national park. The transfer time from the airport is approx. 60 minutes. Port Louis is approx. 15 km from the hotel.

The elegant five-star resort combines tropical flair and modern comfort with 272 rooms and suites, all with sea or river views. Guests can enjoy culinary variety in 7 restaurants and 5 bars featuring international, Asian, Mauritian, and gourmet cuisine – including the renowned Château Mon Désir. The resort also offers the signature “Dine Around” concept, allowing guests to experience different restaurants as part of their meal plan (advance reservation required). Leisure facilities include 2 infinity pools, a 9-hole golf course (green fee included), an equestrian center, and the award-winning 3,500 m² Maritim Tropical Flower Spa. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the resort.
From winter 2026, the Maritim Resort & Spa Mauritius will expand its portfolio to include the Maritim Villas & Residences Mauritius. This comprises three exclusive areas: The Welnest Beachside Residences, La Réserve, and Jacaranda Luxury Villas.
The Welnest Beachside Residences offers 185 stylish apartments and private villas in immediate proximity to the sea. Additionally, this area offers diverse leisure, wellness, and sports facilities, as well as access to the facilities at the Maritim Resort & Spa Mauritius.
With the Jacaranda Luxury Villas, another stylishly designed area complements the resort. It additionally features a restaurant right on the beach, stylish lounge areas, a pool, a rooftop bar with lagoon views, and various wellness and fitness facilities.
The La Réserve area offers an exclusive holiday experience with luxurious apartments and elegant penthouses.

The comfortable and tastefully furnished Deluxe double rooms (approx. 40–44 m²) are located within the spacious resort and impress with a harmonious combination of tropical flair and modern amenities. They feature a bedroom with a comfortable double bed, a cozy seating area, and a private balcony or terrace with views of the garden or partially of the Indian Ocean. Furthermore, they offer a spacious bathroom. (DD1/DD2/DD3).

Deluxe Double Room Type A (Deluxe Plus) From 1.11.26 Grand Deluxe Sea View GD)

Featuring the same amenities as the Deluxe double rooms, they additionally include a separate shower and a second sink; they are also more spacious (approx. 58 m²) and elegantly furnished (DTA/1TA).

Grand Deluxe Garden View (from 1.11.26 Deluxe Garden View D2G)

The luxurious and spacious Junior Suites (approx. 63-65 m²) are located in the newly built area, in immediate proximity to the infinity pool on the river side, and impress with modern elegance and a cozy ambiance. They feature the same amenities as the Deluxe double rooms (JS2/JS3).

Suite

Feature the same amenities as the Deluxe double rooms but are significantly more spacious (approx. 80-105 m²) and furnished to a higher standard with separate living and sleeping areas, a walk-in closet, and a large terrace or balcony. Additionally, guests benefit from exclusive suite services: butler service, pre-reserved sun loungers on the separate suite beach section, à la carte breakfast at the “La Marée” restaurant, a bottle of sparkling wine, a welcome gift, and an espresso coffee machine in the room. Early check-in or late check-out on request and subject to availability (S2).

Family Suite 2 Bedrooms priv. Pool (MRUA19)

The spacious Family Suite (approx. 160 m², 2F) offers families plenty of room and privacy. Amenities include two bedrooms with king-size beds, a living area with a sofa bed, two bathrooms, and a large terrace with a private garden and its own plunge pool.
Includes Suite Package: turndown service, VIP beach access, and à la carte breakfast at the “La Marée Beach Restaurant”.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen has a minimum age requirement of 6 years for children booking these room types.

Family Suite 3 Bedrooms (MRUA19)

The spacious Family Suite (approx. 155 m², FAG) is ideal for large families or friends traveling together. It features three bedrooms with king-size beds, a large living and dining area, and bathrooms with a bathtub and/or shower. The suite spans the ground and upper floors and offers plenty of space for a relaxing stay.

Veranda Seaview Suite (from 1.11.26)

The One Bedroom Pool Villa (approx. 225 m²) is located in the Jacaranda Luxury Villas area and features one bedroom with a separate living area as well as a private pool (2PV)
