Location

The Maritim Resort & Spa Mauritius is located on the sunniest northwest coast of the island, between the capital Port Louis and the town of Grand Baie, known for its vibrant nightlife. The hotel is decorated in a typical local style. It is situated on a 25-hectare historic estate in Balaclava, surrounded by tropical gardens, waterfalls, and 18th-century ruins. The resort overlooks Turtle Bay, the island's first marine national park. The transfer time from the airport is approximately 60 minutes. Port Louis is about 15 km from the hotel.

The elegant five-star resort combines tropical flair and modern comfort with 272 rooms and suites, all with sea or river views. Guests can enjoy culinary diversity in 7 restaurants and 5 bars offering international, Asian, Mauritian, and gourmet cuisine – including the renowned Château Mon Désir. The resort also offers the signature “Dine Around” concept, allowing guests to experience different restaurants as part of their meal plan (reservations required in advance). Recreational facilities include 2 infinity pools, a 9-hole golf course (green fees included), an equestrian center, and the award-winning 3,500 m² Maritim Tropical Flower Spa. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the resort.

Accommodation

Double Room Deluxe

The modern rooms, decorated with colonial elements, feature the same amenities as the Double Room Classic but are more spacious (approx. 40-44 sqm). The highlight is the freestanding bathtub, inviting romantic moments (DD2/DD1/DD3).

Double Room Deluxe Type A (Deluxe Plus)

In addition to the amenities of the Double Room Deluxe, these rooms have a separate shower and a second washbasin. They are also more spacious (approx. 58 sqm) and elegantly furnished (DTA/1TA).

Junior Suite Garden View

The luxurious and spacious Junior Suites (approx. 63-65 sqm) are located in the newly built area, close to the infinity pool on the river side, and impress with modern elegance and a cozy ambiance. In addition to the same amenities as the Double Room Deluxe, they offer the option of having breakfast at the beach restaurant “La Marée” (JS2/JS3).

Suite

These suites have the same amenities as the Double Room Deluxe but are significantly more spacious (approx. 80-105 sqm) and more luxuriously furnished, with a separate living and sleeping area, a walk-in closet, and a large terrace or balcony. In addition to the charming decor, guests enjoy a tailor-made, top-class service: butler service, a bottle of Cremont upon arrival, a welcome gift, and a separate beach section with reserved sun loungers (S2).

The Maritim Signature All-Inclusive includes:
• Breakfast, lunch, and dinner; guests receive a fixed credit for à la carte selections at lunch and dinner in each restaurant.
• Afternoon snacks, pancakes, and pastries at the Quarter Deck Bar.
• Selection of local and international alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in all restaurants and bars.
• Daily minibar refill.
Not included: Spa treatments, horse riding activities, diving, motorized water sports.

Excursions

Balaclava Ruins (guided tours, small animal farm with goats, rabbits, and chickens, giant tortoise park, dog rescue station, playground, etc.).

À la carte restaurants: Anno 1743 (rustic cuisine) and Château mon Désir (Fine Dining).

The Maritim Tropical Flower Spa (3,500 sqm) is set in lush tropical gardens and offers a sauna, steam bath, whirlpool, relaxation areas, and a wide range of massages and beauty treatments with Mauritian and Asian influences.
