Location

The Maritim Resort & Spa Mauritius is located on the island's sunniest northwest coast, between the capital Port Louis and the town of Grand Baie, known for its vibrant nightlife. The hotel is decorated in a style typical of the country. It is situated on a 25-hectare historic estate in Balaclava, surrounded by tropical gardens, waterfalls, and 18th-century ruins. The resort overlooks Turtle Bay, the island's first marine national park. The transfer time from the airport is approx. 60 minutes. Port Louis is approx. 15 km from the hotel.

The elegant five-star resort combines tropical flair and modern comfort with 272 rooms and suites, all with sea or river views. Guests enjoy culinary diversity in 7 restaurants and 5 bars featuring international, Asian, Mauritian, and gourmet cuisine – including the renowned Château Mon Désir. The resort also offers the signature “Dine Around” concept, allowing guests to experience different restaurants as part of their meal plan (advance reservation required). From winter 2026, the Maritim Resort & Spa Mauritius will expand its portfolio with the Maritim Villas & Residences Mauritius. This includes three exclusive areas: The Welnest Beachside Residences, La Réserve, and Jacaranda Luxury Villas.
The Welnest Beachside Residences offers 185 stylish apartments and private villas in immediate proximity to the sea. Additionally, the area offers diverse leisure, wellness, and sports opportunities as well as access to the facilities of the Maritim Resort & Spa Mauritius.
The Jacaranda Luxury Villas is another stylishly designed area complementing the resort. It also features a restaurant directly on the beach, stylish lounge areas, a pool, a rooftop bar with lagoon views, and various wellness and fitness facilities.
The La Réserve area offers an exclusive holiday experience with luxurious apartments and elegant penthouses.

Deluxe Double Room (from 01.11.26 Deluxe Sea View DDM)

The comfortable and tastefully furnished Deluxe double rooms (approx. 40–44 m²) are located within the sprawling resort and feature a harmonious combination of tropical flair and modern amenities. They include a bedroom with a comfortable double bed, a cozy seating area, and a private balcony or terrace with views of the garden or partially of the Indian Ocean. They also feature a spacious bathroom. (DD1/DD2/DD3).

Deluxe Double Room Type A (Deluxe Plus) from 01.11.26 Grand Deluxe Sea View GD)

Featuring the same amenities as the Deluxe double rooms, they additionally include a separate shower and a second washbasin. They are also more spacious (approx. 58 m²) and elegantly furnished (DTA/1TA).

Grand Deluxe Garden View (from 01.11.26 Deluxe Garden View D2G)

The luxurious and spacious junior suites (approx. 63-65 m²) are located in the newly built area, in the immediate vicinity of the infinity pool on the river side, and stand out due to their modern elegance and cozy ambiance. They feature the same amenities as the Deluxe double rooms (JS2/JS3).

Suite

These feature the same amenities as the Deluxe double rooms but are significantly more spacious (approx. 80-105 m²) and appointed with higher-quality furnishings, including a separate living and sleeping area, a walk-in closet, and a large terrace or balcony. In addition to the thoughtful decor, guests enjoy personalized top-class service: butler service, a bottle of Cremont upon arrival in the room, a welcome gift, and a separate beach section with reserved loungers (S2).

Family Suite 2 Bedrooms private pool (MRUA19)

The spacious Family Suite (approx. 160 m², 2F) offers families plenty of space and privacy. Amenities include two bedrooms with king-size beds, a living area with a sofa bed, two bathrooms, and a large terrace with a private garden and personal plunge pool.
Includes Suite Package: turndown service, VIP beach access, and à-la-carte breakfast at the “La Marée Beach Restaurant”.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased safety risk for young children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children booked into these room types.

Family Suite 3 Bedrooms (MRUA19)

The spacious Family Suite (approx. 155 m², FAG) is ideal for large families or friends traveling together. It features three bedrooms with king-size beds, a generous living and dining area, and bathrooms with bathtubs and/or showers. The suite spans the ground and upper floors and offers plenty of space for a relaxing stay.
