Travel information

Combo product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers between locations. Accommodation at the hotel is always in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The next possible embarkation is always selected.

Notice

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your day of arrival and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Morning sailing to Kom Ombo.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered with culinary delights in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are at your disposal. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness studio, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² and have a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), sitting area, and a French balcony.

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
In the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² and otherwise have the same facilities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no sitting area.

Economy suite

The economy suites (S2Z), with the same facilities as the suites, are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and possibly without a French balcony and without a sitting area, instead featuring a non-opening window.

The True Beach Resort, which consists of the sections „True Beach Resort“ (bookable under RMF333, completely renovated) and the True Beach Village (bookable under RMF444, newly built), opened its doors for the first time in December 2023. The complex, designed in an Arabic boho style, is located south of Marsa Alam and is situated on a beautiful stretch of coast with an offshore bay with crystal-clear water on the first beach row. Offshore corals invite you to snorkel. Marsa Alam airport is about 90 kilometers from the hotel.

Facilities

The Schauinsland-Reisen Original hotel was built in a classy Bohemian style, paired with modern Arabic accents, and thus offers a unique design in Egypt. The 5-star complex consists of two sections, the "True Beach Resort," which is particularly suitable for families, and the "True Beach Village" as an adults-only area, which is bookable for guests 16 years and older. The complex has a total of 158 rooms distributed across both sections and offers a spacious reception area with a lobby bar "True Lobby Bar" with seating in the indoor and outdoor area (located in the resort). On the first floor of the lobby is a rooftop bar "Sama Bar." The village area of the resort (adults-only) is surrounded by a spacious water landscape and offers a total of 4 different main pools that lead through the entire complex and are at the same time the pools of the swim-up rooms, as well as an infinity pool that offers a view of the crystal-clear bay (all pools are heatable). In the middle of the pool landscape, the pool bar "Scarab Bar" awaits you, as well as the oriental restaurant "El Tawla" and a chaise lounge. Guests of the village section also have a Greek restaurant "ILIOS" as well as an Asian restaurant "NORI," both located on the beach, at their disposal. On the beach, guests can additionally enjoy the bars "ILIOS Bar" as well as "Salt Bar." Furthermore, guests of the village section have access to the main restaurant "El Manzil" as well as the fish restaurant "Ritsa" (both located in the resort area). The resort area has two spacious pools as well as a whirlpool, which is integrated into the main pool (main pool heatable in winter). An island in the main pool, reachable via a wooden bridge, offers chill-out areas with loungers and beanbags for young and old. Furthermore, the complex has the pool bar "Maya," a theater that offers various entertainment programs in the evening, as well as various shops, a hairdresser, and a spa area. Guests of the village section may use both sections, but not the other way around. Loungers, parasols, and bath towels are included at the pool and on the beach.

Alternatively, guests can also enjoy a daily à-la-carte breakfast in the village area (adults only) at the Greek restaurant.
