Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Nile Excellence and a beach holiday, including all transfers in between. Accommodation at the hotel is always in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay before is mandatory. The next possible embarkation will always be selected.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 14 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always seven Days according to the program. The preliminary and subsequent stay at the hotel depends on your arrival Day and the embarkation Day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Itinerary

When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A balloon flight is possible at 5 a.m. (optionally bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon boat trip to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Morning cruise to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and visit to the double temple (1,2,3).
Cruise to Aswan, dinner, and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
Morning after breakfast visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca trip on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box is included.
Then back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Afterwards you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a Sound and Light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).
Day 8:
Departure.

Facilities

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins, which are spread over several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Let yourself be pampered in the main restaurant and enjoy the cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available to you. From winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small gym, which is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your holiday perfect, you can relax on the sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Accommodation

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² in size and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.
Also bookable for single use (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal suites (RS) have the same facilities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal suites are located on the middle deck and upper deck.
In the Royal suites, there is also a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single suites

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and otherwise have the same facilities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have the same facilities as the suites but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) and possibly without a French balcony and without a seating area, but instead with a window that cannot be opened.

Meals

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a buffet or set menu.
Breakfast includes soft drinks and hot drinks. For lunch and dinner, two soft drinks and a small bottle of water per person are included.

The resort of the renowned Steigenberger chain is located in a quiet area, directly on the gently sloping, hotel-own sandy beach with a unique house reef in Madinat Coraya.
Madinat Coraya Bay is a fantastic holiday destination that offers ideal conditions for diving and snorkeling enthusiasts. The underwater world is home to countless rare species of fish. The distance to Port Ghalib as well as to the Marsa Alam airport is about 8 km.

Facilities

The spacious Adults Only (bookable from 16 years) hotel complex with a total of 364 elegant rooms has a warm and oriental ambiance. Facilities include an inviting lobby with reception so that you feel comfortable from the first moment, as well as some shops, an amphitheater, and a Bedouin tent. A main restaurant, an à-la-carte restaurant ("Fayrouz" - Mediterranean food), and various bars provide culinary variety.
Furthermore, Madinat Coraya offers a Dine Around: Per stay, one visit to the Italian à-la-carte "Basilico Restaurant", the Asian "Rocca" restaurant, or the Oriental "Zaytoun" is included for All Inclusive guests (reservation required).
In the outdoor area, there are 3 pools (one pool can be heated) and a pool/beach bar. Sun loungers and parasols are available free of charge at the hotel's own beach and at the pools.

Superior double room sea view guaranteed upper floors

The newly bookable schauinsland-reisen original rooms (XO2) are equipped like the superior double rooms and feature a sea view. The rooms are guaranteed to be located on the 2nd or 3rd floor of the hotel, offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea.

Breakfast from 6:30-10:30 a.m., lunch from 12:30-2:30 p.m., and dinner from 6:30-9:30 p.m., each in buffet form. During the day, there are various snacks for the small hunger in between.
Afternoon tea time with a selection of coffee, tea, and cake from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and ice cream from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as fresh juice from 10 a.m. to midnight. "Pharao Club" guests have one dinner per stay in an à-la-carte restaurant included (in "Fayruz"), registration required. A fruit basket upon arrival. Furthermore, one bottle of water per day (2 bottles in the family room) included as well as coffee and tea. Beach towels are changed daily, free use of the Health Club.
