Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Magic I and a beach holiday, including all transfers between the two. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The earliest possible embarkation date will always be selected.

Notice

The travel package you have chosen has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre-cruise and post-cruise stays at the hotel depend on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Itinerary:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
At 5 a.m., a hot air balloon ride can be booked (optional, only bookable on site).
Breakfast on board. Then, sightseeing on the West Bank, including the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3), Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3), and the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3).
Lunch on board. Afterwards, continue towards Edfu.
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Breakfast on board. Then, continue towards Kom Ombo. Lunch on board.
After arrival in Kom Ombo, the Temple of Kom Ombo can be visited (1,2,3).
Continue journey towards Aswan. Dinner on board.
Overnight stay in Aswan.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Afterwards, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile.
Followed by an opportunity to visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3); a breakfast box is included.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Continue to Esna.
Day 6:
Morning after breakfast, visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3). Continue to Luxor. Lunch on board. Dinner and overnight stay in Luxor.
Day 7:
Breakfast on board.
Sightseeing on the East Bank with the Luxor (1,2,3) and Karnak Temples (1,2,3).
Day 8:
Departure.

The ship features a welcoming reception area and a total of 72 beautiful exterior cabins spread across several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals for your dining pleasure. The facilities are complemented by a reading corner and a lounge bar. A jeweler and a bazaar invite you to browse. Furthermore, there is a billiard room on board. You can relax and enjoy your vacation on the spacious sun deck, which features a pool and a bar.

Location

The sprawling resort is located directly on its own sand/shingle beach (bathing shoes recommended) and is only approx. 40 km from Marsa Alam Airport.
The gently sloping beach offers the opportunity for a relaxing beach holiday. Additionally, a long jetty leads directly into deeper water, from where you can discover the beautiful and impressive underwater world of the Red Sea. The beach offers excellent conditions for snorkeling and diving.

The large, newly opened hotel complex consists of 514 rooms. This charming and comfortably furnished property features a reception, several shops, an amphitheater, various bars, two buffet restaurants ("El Khan" - Oriental, "Soprano Restaurant" - international cuisine), an à-la-carte restaurant ("Shell Fish" - seafood, once per stay, with reservation), two snack restaurants, various bars, and a café, "The Bakery."
The spacious grounds include 12 swimming pools (three of which are heated in winter) and 3 children's pools (two of which can be heated in winter). The newly built Aqua Park with 32 water slides (11 for adults and 21 for children; some heated in winter) offers fun for all ages.
Sun loungers, parasols, pads, and beach towels are available free of charge by the pool and on the beach.
Guests of the "Pickalbatros Portofino Villaggio" can use all facilities of the sister hotel, "Pickalbatros Portofino Vita" (RMF116).

The Beachfront sea view rooms (BF2, approx. 42-45 m²) are large and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and terrace or balcony. The Beachfront sea view rooms are located directly on the beach with a view of the sea.

Double room Superior

Family room Deluxe garden view

The modern rooms (2FS, approx. 70 m²) consist of a bedroom with a king-size bed, a bedroom with single beds, and a sofa bed, and are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and balcony or terrace.
Also bookable with pool view (XF2) for an extra charge.

Royal Suite Swim Up pool view

The Royal Suites (SWP) are approx. 105 m² and feature a bathroom/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (water included), safe, kettle, telephone (for a fee), TV, and a terrace with direct access to the shared swim-up pool. The rooms have two bedrooms.
(Additional allotment bookable under RMFA49 as Royal Suite Type B (RZ3)).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased safety risk for young children.
Therefore, schauinsland-reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children for these room types for safety reasons.

Junior Suite Panorama sea view

The spacious Junior Suites Panoramic Sea View (J2M, approx. 52 m²) offer an impressive panoramic view of the Red Sea and the vast resort complex due to their elevated position. These tastefully furnished suites feature a combined living and sleeping area with a king-size bed, a seating area, and a dressing area. Further amenities include air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, minibar, kettle, safe, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The private balcony with seating invites you to enjoy the magnificent view and relaxing holiday hours.

Double room Deluxe (RMFA49)

The Deluxe double rooms are similar in size and amenities to the standard double rooms (DD2). Also bookable with pool view (DBP) and sea view (DDM).

Bungalow Deluxe sea view (RMFA49)

The Deluxe bungalows are approx. 35 m² and are equipped with air conditioning, bathroom with shower or bathtub/WC, flat-screen TV, balcony or terrace, and feature a sea view (2BM).

Superior Bungalow sea view (RMFA49)

The Superior bungalows are similar in equipment to the Deluxe bungalows but are larger at approx. 45 m² (2UB).
