Travel information

Combination package consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The trip must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The next available embarkation will always be selected.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 14 Days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days as per the program. 1. Day:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3) dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
2. Day:
Visit to the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 a.m., hot air balloon excursion (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, tour of the East Bank, Karnak and Luxor temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
3. Day:
Visit to the West Bank. Morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening sailing to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
4. Day:
Continue sailing from Esna.
Then continue to Aswan, where the overnight stay also takes place.

5. Day:
Morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
6. Day:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Sailing to Kom Ombo with a visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight on board.
7. Day:
Continue sailing to Esna and visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3). Overnight on board.
8. Day:
Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

The ship features a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious meals. The offer is complemented by a cozy lounge bar. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. On the spacious sun deck, there is a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and feature a small round window.

Steigenberger Resort Alaya

Location

The 5-star luxury hotel complex is located in the heart of the beautiful Madinat Coraya. Access to the sea is possible via a jetty. From here, the picturesque underwater world of Madinat Coraya can be discovered. The resort also has its own sandy beach area and is only about 5 km away from Marsa Alam Airport.

Facilities

The beautiful adults-only complex (bookable from 16 years) features 290 elegantly furnished rooms and suites. The spacious reception area offers guests a front desk and a lobby bar with seating. The hotel has a souvenir shop and a hairdresser. A main restaurant and four à-la-carte restaurants ("Basilico" Italian, "Rocca" Asian, "Zaytoun" Oriental, "Mashawi" Seafood) cater to guests' culinary needs. A wide selection of drinks is available in the various bars.
In the outdoor area of the complex, there are five spacious pools (partly heatable in winter) and inviting sun terraces.
Sun loungers, parasols, and towels are free of charge at the pool and on the beach.

The Royal Suites (RSM) are luxuriously furnished and feature the same amenities as the double rooms. The Royal Suite is approx. 160 m² in size and is additionally equipped with 2 bathrooms with a bathtub, Jacuzzi, living area, sleeping area, and a terrace with a private pool.

Double Room Superior

The comfortably furnished Superior double rooms (DSU) are 40 m² and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, LED TV, safe, telephone (for a fee), balcony, and garden view.
For an extra charge, also bookable with pool view (DSP), side sea view (D2S), or sea view (DMU), as well as for single occupancy (DEU/ESP/1SD/UME).

Double Superior Swim Up

The Double Superior Swim Up rooms (DWP) are, with the same furnishings as the Superior double rooms, slightly more spacious (approx. 50 m²) and have their own direct pool access from the terrace.

The Double Deluxe Sea View rooms (DM2) have the same furnishings as the Superior doubles but are more spacious (approx. 70 m²), and additionally feature a dressing room and a balcony. Also bookable for single occupancy (DM1).

Double Room Deluxe Swim-Up

The Double Deluxe Swim Up rooms (DWU) are bookable as Schauinsland-Reisen Original rooms. The rooms have the same furnishings as the Superior double rooms but are more spacious (approx. 70 m²) and have their own access to the sharing pool.
