Travel information

Combination product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel is always provided in the most affordable available room category. Embarkation always takes place on Thursdays. The journey must be started at least one day in advance, as an overnight stay beforehand is mandatory. The earliest possible embarkation will always be selected.

Notice

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 14 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-stay at the hotel depends on your day of arrival and the day of embarkation. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

The itinerary may shift depending on the day of embarkation.

1st Day:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3) dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
2nd Day:
Visit to the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 a.m. excursion by balloon (optional, can be booked on site).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, the Karnak Temple, and the Luxor Temple (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
3rd Day:
Visit to the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late in the evening, cruise to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
4th Day:
Continuation from Esna.
Afterwards, we continue to Aswan, where the overnight stay will also take place.
Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay on board.
5th Day:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then, visit the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Afterwards, opportunity to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
6th Day:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Trip to Kom Ombo with a visit to the double temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight stay on board.
7th Day:
Continue to Esna and visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3). Overnight stay on board.
8th Day:
Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

The ship features a friendly reception and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins, spread over several decks. The main restaurant provides delicious dishes for your well-being. The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 m² in size and are equipped with a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe.

Economy cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins, but are located on the lower decks and have a small porthole.

Cabin single occupancy

With the same equipment as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 m²) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

The spacious family complex of the renowned Pickalbatros hotel chain makes the hearts of water lovers, both big and small, beat faster. You will spend a relaxing holiday in a quiet environment at the Albatros Sea World. You can reach the hotel's own 500m long sandy beach via direct access. The beautiful house reef offers the best conditions for exploring the fascinating underwater world. Marsa Alam Airport is about 60 km away.

Facilities

The sprawling hotel has a total of 950 rooms spread across many small cottages. In the spacious garden area, there are a total of 25 pools (two of which can be heated in winter), a heated children's pool, and its own Aqua Park for all ages. Facilities include an inviting lobby with reception and cozy seating areas, as well as a shopping arcade with numerous shops that invite you to browse. The six restaurants in the hotel offer a variety of culinary specialties. These include the oriental main restaurant "Saffron" as well as four specialty restaurants that can be used without reservation ("Soprano" – Italian, "Zum Kaiser" – German, "L'Asiatique" – Asian, "Culina" – Mediterranean restaurant). There is also an international à la carte restaurant in the food court (1x per stay included, reservation required). The offer is rounded off by various cafes and bars. Two snack bars on the beach invite you for a small hunger in between. The Aqua Park has 12 slides for adults, two pools with 12 slides and water games for children, as well as various pools and diverse sports and animation programs. Sun loungers, parasols, and towels are available free of charge at the pool and on the beach.

Junior Suite Pool View

The junior suites (J2P) have a size of approx. 60 m² and feature the same amenities as the double rooms, but with an additional open living space and pool view.
Also available with partial sea view (J2S) as well as sea view (J2M).

Super Saver Rooms

The super saver rooms (SSZ) have the same features as the double rooms, but with garden view, not always a preferred location, limited quota, and special price.

Family Room Pool View

The family rooms (FP2) have the same features as the double rooms but are more spacious (approx. 70 m²). Beds are provided for children, which are visually separated by a sliding door.

Double Room Deluxe Pool View

Deluxe Suite Pool View

The spacious deluxe suites are newly built and modern. With the same features as the double rooms, these rooms are larger (approx. 65 m²) and have an additional area for parents and one for children. The suites have a balcony or terrace with pool view.

Double Room Superior (RMFA30)

The double rooms Superior feature a bath or shower/WC, air conditioning, TV, safe, hairdryer, telephone, and garden view (DSU).

Double Room Deluxe Garden View (RMFA30)

These approx. 47 m² deluxe rooms are equipped with air conditioning, hairdryer, rental safe, minibar (for a fee), bath or shower/WC, and balcony or terrace with garden view (G2Y/DDA). Also bookable with pool view (DPB/DPE), sea view (DDM), or beachfront (B2D) for an extra charge.
